He delighted in tearing up Ewing and Robinson.

Sabonis wasn't in the NBA until a few years later. Vlade was around though.

Exactly, and don't even get started on the 1980's. That was a weird comment.

Wasn't really ever fat (let's not talk about 35 + Shaq)

Even when he had considerably more body fat than the average player (which was still below 15%), he was still extremely muscle-heavy.

Which, at 10-13% body fat, I wouldn't be surprised if that is less than half of this board.

Shaq is probably one of the most dominant players to every play the game, if he got within a certain range from the basket there was no stopping him. Dwight just isn't that good at creating space. It'll be a while before we some like Shaq again.

Dwight has a big advantage though, most of the centers today are panzies. Not too many playerds who play with contact or with their backs to the basket.

    Statistically speaking

Shaq had just about every edge (just in his rookie year).

I am surprised to see how many blocks a game Shaq averaged (3.5) vs Dwight's 2.1 this year.

Dwight would get hooped up by Rik Smits

if you don't know about Naughty By Nature and the NBA, then you just don't know.

It just shows you how much the center position has fallen off. We used to have so many great centers in the NBA; now we have Dwight and ... and even Dwight doesn't compare well to the true great centers of the past.
