I think putting Scola to replace Bosh would be much better than they are now. They need smart ass in the middle
"That was a good one," Wade said. "That's a great ratio for me. First time I got dunked on all year. I'll take my 90 to 1 [edge] on my blocks to my dunked-on [ratio]. ---- Ehhhh. Not the most humble of responses.
he said he was backpedalling when Taj was alread up in the air which was BS.. he was stationary and he saw Taj go up.
Thing is, he's right though. Dude blocks those more often than not, he takes more chances of getting posterized than any other guard in the NBA. That's exactly the attitude you should have. He knows he's a good defender and makes those plays more often than not, so he's not bothered by it. Deserves some respect.
Yeah, he wasn't backpedaling. He was backpedaling when the pass was made but he had time to square up when Gibson came soaring. I do commend him for trying to make a play rather than just duck out like some players do. I never get the big deal of the so-called facial thing. There's nothing wrong with trying to block a shot and fail. I'd take that over ducking out of the way every time. That said, there's nothing humble about Wade's response. He gave props to the dunker, and he gave props to himself, and a little excuse.
Did you say the same thing when Kevin Johnson dunked on Hakeem? He could've McGrady'd it and just watched him dunk it. I always give props to guys for trying to make a play on the ball, even when they know they're boned.
i'm not going to start a new thread what is dude's ceiling, he's been an impact player this entire playoffs, and i really on watch off and on. espcially chicago, love rose but some of their games have been boring.
2nd dunk was crazier but less impressive when you consider it was scrub time. The first had the power and came at an important time. Props to Wade for actually trying. The NBA would be better if more players tried to block instead of avoiding getting posterized.
Wow, i really gotta wonder about homer fans to overrate their own players so blindly. Bosh is a better defender and rebounder than scola. They need someone athletic to playoff off of lebron and wade. Scola is a craftier scorer but that would require the ball in his hands more and would take away from their best options....that would make no sense for them in anyway
