The NBA waves bye bye to Motay. Well, maybe someone who needs a fat body will sign him for the vet minimum.
http://slamonline.com/online/2006/09/some-people-call-him-maurice/ “They’re not trying to spite me [by not playing me],” he told the Post. “I’m not saying what they’re doing is a bad thing. But it’s bad for me. I’m a much better player than what you saw in New York.” Riiiiiiiight, MoTay.
I wouldn't see him helping us much...no rebounding, no defense. His primary source of offense is mid-range jumpers, and Juwan's got that on lock. So this may be it for him. The sad thing is, if he could have stayed away from the sticky icky...and the sticky buns...he might have been a decent player.
He seems like the kind of project Phil Jackson would pick up if the Lakers had injuries or if Cook and Radmanovic can't cut it. Motivation is the big thing, but everyone admits he has the size and body to do damage.
I thought MoTay was real solid his last FULL season before being traded. He really doesn't fit what we're trying to do right now, though....
exactly, people forget, he single handledly kept us in the game during Game 1 of the Lakers-Rockets series in 2004 and tell u the truth, i thought he was solid before he was shipped out for Moochie and had his injury.
if im not mistaken this the third thread thats come about regarding Mo Taylor? when does the madness stop? said it before, say it again, we dont need or want him, so its a moot point.
