The main problem with the Rays is that the Stadium is in St. Pete, not Tampa. Viewership is actually very good in Tampa... so the thoughts are if they get a more centralized stadium, attendance will significantly pick up (makes sense). I still can't believe MLB agreed to expand there without being able to figure that out. As far as Oakland goes, new stadiums are a problem for all of the teams (with the Warriors moving to SF). And if its not going to be in Oakland, not sure it really matters where they put it.
Baseball is such a long season, bound to have peaks and valleys. The Cubs looked like they were on their way to shatter best regular season record, now they have come back to Earth and playing more realistic. Baseball of all sports, fans shouldn't get too up or low over a 162 game schedule.
What happened to Matt Harvey? Another 3 home runs tonight and only 1 strikeout while throwing 94mph. God that dork and Keuchel were supposed to be my 5 year keepers at least. Both look like they'd be released by the Skeeters. Just awful.
The NL Playoffs will be sick with great top rotations. Right now there are lots of teams contending for playoff spots, but in august & september the ones that will be fighting will be Cubs/Pirates/Cards/Nats/Mets/Giants/Dodgers. NL is loaded with pitching for these teams that are mentioned, some are even deeper if some get their stuff together like Harvey.
Julio Urias got the call and will pitch in New York against the Mets friday. He's 19 years old and has been destroying AAA this season. This should be good!
