So, Mark Cuban bascially admitted that he would have drafted Royce White had the Rockets not taken him one pick ahead. http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/55452/overheard-at-sloan I hope this finally ends the silly "nobody would have picked White in the 1st round" talk, based on that one youtube video.
So when will Morey trade White to DAL? White got ejected again from a game. Seriously, Morey ... give up on him already
Imagine if Mark Cuban hired Daryl Morey as GM and got SVG as coach. Actually, just imagine if Daryl Morey hired SVG as coach. McHale was hired March 2011, SVG was fired by Orlando May 2011.
Feigen went on record multiple times at the time that the Rockets FO apparently is very high on SVG and that they would have loved to hire him back then. EDIT: Woj did, too.
Great find. I remember on draft night, I remember them saying that the Rockets were looking at Zeller with the 16th pick and Royce with the 18th pick but went with Royce at 16 because they heard the Mav's were interested. The Mav's then picked Zeller and traded him while the Rockets took TJones at 18. I wonder if Cuban just took Zeller to spite Daryl Morey and the Rockets? Normally I would not think something like that but as someone who lives in Dallas and hears a lot about Cubans fudes and pouting I just don't think its out of the realm of possibility.
white has been misdiagnosed. His problems revolve around delusions and the preservation of his huge ego that has grown from his enablers. He's a severe narcissist with most likely ocd/bipolar tendencies of the worst kind. Not fit for duty.
the 'O' in LOF means only. therefore technically impossible to be a 'Morey fan first' & a Lin only fan.
Recently on the Dan Le'Batard show, Morey referred to SVG as one of the all-time best coaches. SVG was cohosting, but I do think Morey was being sincere. If it was Morey's decision purely, he would have gone hard after him. Don't think Les Alexander wants another Van Gundy, though.
http://watch.nba.com/nba/video/chan...013-mit-sloan-sports-analytics-conference.nba Sorry for a bump. Just a video summarising the MIT/Sloan Sport Analytics Conference
Maybe, maybe no. [rQUOTEr]Adrian Wojnarowski: [Jeff] Van Gundy, who also coached the Rockets, had conversations with them about a possible return in 2010, but the dialogue never went too far, sources said. Houston hired Kevin McHale. [/rQUOTEr] http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--j...er-for-nets--coaching-opening--002144015.html
