Rockets were playing their best basketball with him. Ownership would rather miss playoffs then pay House!
Because Houston was raining threes which obviously wasn't sustainable? Did you forget Game 7? We basically replicated that in the 3rd quarter. Maybe with House he would've hit one of those open 3s. With House playing, Tucker would play less which is a good thing and our rebounding has been much better with House on the court.
It's not realistic since Capela is coming back, but the Rockets are only 3 games ahead of the 9 seed. I couldn't imagine what the organization would do if they missed the playoffs because of games they would've won if they had House.
Traded 2 picks for a player worse than house... the g leaguer At least we wont have to pay the repeater tax right boys ?
You have Morey to thank for that because of the 4 yr/$80M Anderson contract. Shump is our consolation prize. Why should a forward-thinking Tilman be handcuffed in tax purgatory through Harden's prime for a team that has failed to launch all year long? Morey's past offseason (MCW, Ennis, Melo, Knight, Chriss, Ariza) was a self-admitted disaster and we'll most likely punt this entire season because of it, baring a miracle...
this is correct, but let's just recap a bit. morey F's up and tilman still saves money. so basically harden and the fans are the ones suffering in the end while the front office punts on this season. doesn't seem right
If I were House and Tilman told me he was only going to pay me the min. I'd just wait until the summer and sign with the Warriors. Why would anyone play on a min. contract for this team when they can just play for the Warriors unless they inherently hate that team like Rivers or Bev.
Some House-related discussion from the chron, if it's permitted. Harden seems to have a very strong opinion on the situation, rather than keeping himself neutral like he did with Melo.
For clarity’s sake, Harden didn’t say House was good or important. He said they know how good and how valuable he is. A very important distinction. “We know how good you are, and that is not very good. G leaguer who should thank God he’s offered a three year minimum contract. We know how important you are, and that’s not very because you’d be the 10th or 11th man on the team.” * *I’ve had a low opinion of House ever since he transferred away from UH because he didn’t want to play for a great coach. That’s weird decision making and helps to understand his poor choice now.
Ppat, Danuel House, luxury tax... That's the hill you want to die on? Like you couldn't hitch your wagon on a better horse, like Harden? Nah, you wanted to trade him for Kevin Love instead.
With the market being ‘flooded’ with waived guys and buy outs, House just went further down the FA food chain. If he does want to maximize his value, contributing in some way on a playoff team does that more than sitting on the couch, protecting your ‘ass’ets.
