What? So he should not be asked why an employee who everybody said did nothing wrong being removed from her position when he was her boss? She was the one who was actually fighting corruption. How is that unprofessional?
And she has in writing that they agreed to talk about Ukraine. I mean Yovanavitch has been in the news all week and the previous months how could he be blindsided, he just was asked the same question on the Sunday shows last Sunday.
He works for the United States as SoS. Yes he is there to carry out his foreign policy but in service of the country
Ukraine is relevant because of Trump's actions in Ukraine. That is the only reason Ukraine is relevant in the news currently. If you are the god damn secretary of state and you have accusations towards your state department for spying on and harassing a US ambassador, you best be prepared to answer questions involving that ambassador besides yelling at someone to find Ukraine on a map. Not only does it show gross harassment, but also gross incompetence when being shocked and chagrined that the news media would ask such a question. Any other competent administration would have their Secretary of State prepared to answer such basic questions that you would expect any member of the media to ask.
He is already being impeached. The question was only meant to drive division. There is nothing more we need to know about the ambassador.. We are beyond impeachment
Asking questions about Ukraine is unprofessional? Do you see how stupid that reads? He said he and everyone that's a subordinate of his are on the same page, get along well and he defends every single one of them. The interviewer points out that Marie is/was a subordinate of Pompeo's and that she testified opposite the answers Pompeo was giving the interviewer. She lost her job. The interviewer wanted to know if/when Pompeo ever stood up for Yovanovitch. She wanted clarity because of the multiple contradictions. And it was discussed beforehand in writing that the interviewer would be asking questions about Ukraine, which would include the former ambassador of Ukraine. And honestly as concerning as the Ukraine stuff is, if you were to just read the Iran questions, they raise alarm bells too. Tensions have risen in Iran and gotten worse without any clear cut answers how our government is working to fix it. Just that they'll stop them without any mention of how. Is there not a team of responsible adults behind the wheel that have a Plan A, B and C for the crises our nation is facing right now? The best we get from our SoS is, "We'll stop them." Really? And bro I only ever made it personal just to illustrate your logic. The old put yourself in the shoes of the person you're criticizing against. Being a d******d to someone on a BBS board can be bullying. Throwing a temper tantrum at someone for doing their job which is to ask questions and report the news can be bullying. You don't even get that though. I actually do hope life improves for you and am glad you got work now. Hope it's rewarding and covers the day to days.
This is a distinction without a difference. He's part of the Cabinet - the Executive Branch - and serves "at the pleasure of the President". He works for Trump. Please do not argue this.
There is nothing more to know about the ambassador? Excuse me? Wut? You don't think the America public should know if our own Secretary of State was involved in the spying and harassment of a US ambassador? It's the media's responsibility to find those answers. It's also the media's responsibility to understand what our Secretary of state's state of mind is regarding the whole spying and harassment of a US ambassador. How the **** do you think that wouldn't be a relevant question to ask a Secretary of State. Gee Whiz, one of our own ambassadors has been spied on and has been harassed by the secretary of state's own president's cronies and the secretary of state who oversees our ambassadors, you don't think that is a relevant question to ask the Secretary of State? You seriously think it's not within the purview of the media to ask the Secretary of State about a news story that his own ambassador was harrased and spied on by our own adminstration? In what world would that not be a relevant question to ask? Please put me out of my misery trying to understand your gaslighting and just come out and state you are trolling.
I was actually sayibf his responsibility is the xountry. Do you disagree? Back up. You think im defending him when all im saying is yes he should make country priority
