I just got back from over there. Watched a few CBA games and they had some American players over there. I was somewhat amused because they all had Chinese interpreters just like Yao had with Colin Pine. The Chinese coach would yell and gestulate to his regular players..then there'd be a pause while the interpreters told these guys in English what the coach wanted them to do. Must be a strange strange world for American Basketball players to play ball and live in China. Everything is really different. Yeah they got Pizza Hut, McDonalds, and KFC but its still wierd going and trying to order food cause they will just look at you like huh??? I wonder if Harris is attempting to learn Chinese like Yao did when he came here.
All the more reason to respect Yao and what he has done in the transition, and in his life. I doubt that Harris has the same national pressures on him that Yao brought over on his shoulders. Yao and Deke are in my pantheon of most respect worthy people of the NBA.
Just wanted to point out that the thread starter is providing rebounds in two seperate categories (Offensive and Defensive) and not as a total. So don't forget to add them together rather than just looking at the far right rebound column, as we're accustomed to. 25.2 points 9.2 rebounds 1.6 assists 0.8 steals 1.6 blocks 2.8 TO's 57.3% FGs (30.7% threes, 91.3% FT) He's got numbers that indicate he could be a great role player and energy guy in the NBA. Rebounds, blocks, steals, and high %'s. There is always a place for that kind of guy.
They hosted against BaYi Rockets, where Wang ZhiZhi played for, last evening. Wang scored 35 points, the highest in the game, but couldn't stop the Leopards. Mike drained some decent 22 points to help his team win again. Wow! I know he's playing in China, but these are still some crazy stats. And he's doing it every single game. I really want this guy on the Rockets now. There's been a problem with players adjusting and completely buying into Adelmen's system. Mike was one guy that Adelmen had continual praise for in training camp and preseason. He would fit into the team's system like a glove. And push guys like Bonzi Wells to play harder. We've been too lax lately.
2 consecutive losses. Last one they played against GuangDong, Yi JianLian's mother club, the leading goat in CBA league now. He is stuffing the stat sheet more and more every game. We really need to make a 2 or 3 for 1 trade to consolidate our depth at PG and give this guy a shot. Snyder should be included in that trade as Harris would almost certainly move ahead of him on the depth chart. If we could get him back I wouldn't be surprised if he is backing up Battier next year after Bonzi's contract expires.

Someone find an interview with Harris and translate it on the board. I hope they ask him how he is adjusting to life in China. Would be a very interesting human interest piece.
I want this guy back too. Does he have the ability to ditch the Chinese team if he is offered NBA contract?
After a bad loss to XinJiang, where Mengke Bateeer played, Dong Guang Leopards grabbed a win at ShanXi (different team than the one they played against at Dec 14, just same pronunciation) and finally clinched a playoff spot. ya. never heard of that kid before. but wow. the dude's score is all over the place, from 0 points to 46 points if he can be consistent, and play with better players, maybe he can become something
