Btw, I should also add that you dont need to sit the player out the entire player to give him rest.

You can reduce the players minutes in games to give him rest as well.

There have been plenty of games this season where the team has been up by a lot and game is pretty much out of reach and Mike sends his starters/Harden unnecessarily back in the game.

Not only do those minutes add up in the course of the season and adds to wear and tear but it also ups the risk of injury.

While Mike is an excellent offensive coach, his player and game management leaves a lot to be desired.

Good god. Just bench Green for Rivers/Shumpert minutes.

I’m convinced D’Antoni doesn’t know who his best support players are.

Can one of those strippers use their big booties to injure harden’s groin so he can get some rest?

We have Shumpert now, We can afford to rest Harden.

Old PJ Tucker and Injured James Harden have played more minutes this season than everyone.

Rest those two guys the next two games and give their minutes to Faried & Rivers.

    The solution is so simple.

    Best to worst.

    Harden
    Paul
    Capela
    Gordon
    Tucker
    House

    GAP
    Nene
    Shumpert
    Rivers
    Faried
    Clark
    Green

Green and Clark are interchangeable and I’m probably doing Gary a disservice because he’s an above average defender.

Faried is probably to high as well.

Faried is so bad as a center.

    Nene is average at worst.

Agreed wholeheartedly. But just role players. Namely, Tucker.

I want Harden's "per game" stats best as possible.

    There... I said it.

My god what a fool, easy way out yet funny at the same time.

Harden has too much power!! MDA doesn’t even dare to say no to him..

This is what gets me .

It's such a no-brainer to give harden the night off every now and then . Especially when he's banged up and he's got a capable backup in Rivers .

MDA dont got the guts to sit Harden, everyone else he'll rest. Harden will never ask to rest a game, never. So you gotta factor in his injuries and body language and sit him whenever we playing a cream puff team.

seriously, there is no upside in playing green anymore. This is his 2nd season with the team, we know what he brings. Bad defender with consistently inconsistent offense. Not what you want on a contender. As horrify as hes been, at least shumpert has the potential to get his shot working and be a 2 way player.

MDA should be more confident of his bench and not pretend they're regular season cannon fodder.

That might be the key to preventing random "gas outs" or "missing long shots" during the end of seven game series.

    Just a thought...

A lot of hardens shots are off the front of the rim. I think they should rest him and make him actually rest. Or rather heal.

Now is the time to do it.

    Ideal minutes/gm remainder of season

    Harden - 32
    Paul - 30
    Tucker - 25

They should all rest four games. Harden's can come during this neck injury and maybe one extra at regular season's end.

I'd sit Tucker the next 2 games and let Faried start. I'd sit Harden one of them and Paul in the other. Get another 2-3 games down the road until we sit EG.
