D'Antoni: "I wish I had a 7-foot player who could just run and dunk. I had to actually work to develop coaching skills."
NBA is clever, giving Coach of the month to the Rockets so they don’t have to give Westbrook Player of the month.
I'm with @J Sizzle , blood brothers to the bitter end. well, except when he panics during the first quarters of the game threads. then I maintain a healthy distance as if he had coronavirus
I wonder which coach leads the league in "left over timeouts?" Surely there's a stat for that. There's a stat for everything. I would have guessed Mike before his "transformation," but have no idea.
I will say this........ IF by some miracle the Rockets win the title, be prepared for Coach to drop his balls on the table and let everyone have it. The guy has been doubted and ridiculed non stop for nearly 40 years....... He and Morey would just blow up at a number of people........
I’ve had my issues with Mike especially earlier this year, but man since the trade his coaching seems quite a bit different suddenly, was this ALL Clint’s fault ??? a couple of things I’ve noticed is his use of time outs has changed pretty radically, he also seems to be drawing up successful plays out of said time outs, and seems to have a pretty solid grasp of his rotations now as far as who is playing best with whom, even with the relatively new guys. Biggest thing I noticed is he seems way more engaged than earlier in the season when I swear it looked like he just didn’t want to be there on the bench coaching at many points.
