I like Conley, i think he stays in Memphis and makes sense for them too pay him, but i don't think he's a good option for us at that price.

    Doesn't sound good for Memphis.

    Oh well.

I think he was very high to resign there, but maybe after the Gasol injury he's having a hard time in making a decision, this will be his first and last big contract, he's in his prime, lot of younger and more talented teams out there willing to pay him...eh, i can't blame him if he's going to bolt them, but i still think he'll stay at the end.

this may be true but Kurt Helin is an absolutely terrible journalist, if you can even call him that.

If we were to get Durant, would Conley or Horford be the better third option? Honestly I think a 1-2-3 of Conley-Harden-Durant is the perfect mix. Try to resign D-Mo and fill in the Center position with a Speights type player and we are in really good shape.

How are we going to get $50 million worth of capspace to sign Conley and Durant?

The same way we get enough space to sign these two

Get rid of everyone but Harden.

Paging Deuce, Paging Deuce. It basically requires us to drop one of Ariza or Brewer while not retaining any of our expirings. The hope with those two is that Conley's market is closer to $15-18 per rather than $25, considering his recent injury and depth at the PG position it's not impossible, which would allow us to retain DMO.

    Absolutely Horford.

You just cannot hope to win it all with Capela and D.Mo (assuming he'll stay healty) as your staring frontcourt...just no chance.

I love Pat, not a great fan of his game, but he will be perfect and super cheap to play next to Harden and KD, there'll be no need for a true pg in the starting five in that case, but we'll absolutely need a 4/5, especially with Dwight gone...

Horford is also a good ft shooter, so you can play him as center in small lineups, Capela and D.Mo on the other hand...

Thanks for the info. I don't think Conley is going to take that much less considering his potential max deal with Memphis is at least $20 million. I'm on board with Conley though.

I stealed this from psman in another thread.

Durant with room for other players.

    James Harden $16,784,031.00
    Trevor Ariza $7,421,000.00
    Patrick Beverley $6,000,000.00
    K.J. McDaniels $3,333,333.00
    Donatas Motiejunas $5,720,513.00
    Clint Capela $1,296,240.00
    Montrezl Harrell $1,045,000.00
    Beasley $1,404,000.00
    Goudelock $1,016,000.00
    Durant $25,900,000.00
    Total $69,920,117.00 + 2 roster holds.

So you have 22 million to fill out the roster including DMo cap hold. You can also Keep Dekker too easier under this option if wanted.

If you sign Horford one of Dmo or Ariza has to go. IF you cut Ariza you would have about 3 million left and two roster holds come out of that.

    2 Max option:
    James Harden $16,784,031.00
    Patrick Beverley $6,000,000.00
    K.J. McDaniels $3,333,333.00
    Donatas Motiejunas $5,720,513.00
    Clint Capela $1,296,240.00
    Montrezl Harrell $1,045,000.00
    Beasley $1,404,000.00
    Goudelock $1,016,000.00
    Durant $25,900,000.00
    Horford $25,900,000.00
    Total $88,399,117.00 + 2 roster holds.

    Yup, you got it.

Seeing ‎@peteredmiston's timeline on Conley, I admit I was a bit surprised. I thought for sure Conley would be back in Memphis but he clearly is opening the door to looking around. Really putting the onus on Memphis to 1) give him MAX money and 2) sign other top FAs. Not sure Memphis will be able to do the 2nd one (in terms of attracting other top guys). So that could leave the door open to Conley to look around.

The heads of Al Horford and Kevin Durant delivered in tin cans? Yeah that's probably the only way Houston gets them here.

Can they shoot 3's and play D though?

What are your thoughts if it ends up being:

    Capela/Harrell
    Horford/Beasley/Dekker
    Ariza/McDaniels/Gentile
    Harden
    Conley/Goudelock/Terry

    + a second round pick
+ 2 vet min signings, presumably for depth in the backcourt, maybe some bargains in Europe?

    Coach: JVG
    Offensive Co-Ordinator: Chris Finch

Is this a serious contender or is there absolutely no way they contend with the Warriors?

This guy is injury prone big time. I'm sure the Rocket fans nor organization want this type of grief.

Definitely better than what we're today, but i'm not sure we're good enough to win it all, i think not in fact, Durant and Conley are in two different leagues offensively...

Durant is fine but Conley's main uniform will be a suit and tie by every late to post season or every other season.
