My thoughts exactly, his team was in their prime. Also had a decent point guards in Paxon and Kerr. Chalmers at times looks worst then Lin, making bonehead decisions and scoring an average of 5 Points in the playoffs.

The spurs would still be champs if the Heat consistedof MJ (in his prime, Chalmers, Fade, and Wosh and that scarry tattoo dude.

Funnily enough heypartner hates the Spurs. Was pissed that people were rooting for them. Now he uses them as an argument against LeBron/for Jordan.

If anything now we know who he hates more than the Spurs: LeBron.

That's actually a pretty weak argument this series. You could argue that in 2007, but at this point Duncan is a shell of his former self that is being dragged along by having four other significant threats on the court alongside him at all times.

Lebron playing better would not have changed the outcome of the series. I think he even said in his post-game interview that losing by 15 and by 1 in the finals is a loss.

San Antonio played a far superior team game over those 5 games. I'm actually surprised the marigin was only 13.1 pts lol. Felt like it was 20-25.

I bet this San Antonio team is better than every team that MJ ever played against in the finals. They were going like 11 deep and getting good production.

You can also easily say that the Heat allowed them to get good production?
If the Spurs is the best team of all time (in your eyes), they should have at least swept the 1st rd and breeze through to the finals?

I have to say tho, the brilliance and adjustments by Pop and his assistance was absolutely fantastic. Looking back at their Rd 1 struggles and adjustments and the OKC game 3/4 setbacks and then their adjustments just shows you the genius of Pop and how much he understands this game.

You can also sense that after their heartbreaking loss last year....Pop locked himself in a dim lit room, put tonnes of pictures on the wall of the Miami heat players/staff and devised a plan on a fool proof strategy to beat them.

Miami was not ready, Spurs prepared for a whole year for that finals.

If this really had nothing to do with Lebron, and you were just comparing MJ to historical records, why would you be comparing the greatest winner in modern basketball to records of futility?

While you're at it, you might as well compare MJ to the record holder for most career scoreless games. That makes about as much sense.

Except that championship was just luck

If i recall correctly (from memory so I might be off) Lakers won the first game with James Worthy solidly guarding Jordan. However, Worthy got injured, and the Bulls went on to win

Lakers would have won had Worthy not been injured

MIA had a 4thQ lead before their best player got hurt and couldn't finish the game. Perhaps this factors into this margin of victory.
