    1 because its tiring/exhausting
2 its cooling other players off

Dantoni and Harden proceeded to say f that.

Too much work for Pringles and Harden hates playing off-ball.

I don't think iso is a problem, just get into it faster and don't do it so much

And to the daring teams to beat it reason.. we have yet to win a championship so obviously it's being beaten.

exactly. iso is definitely not the problem, doing too much of it with zero creativity and not much ball movement is the problem.

No it hast. Utah' shooters had great looks, they just suck at offense, sure part of that was us but not all. Just because GS offensive rating dipped below their average doesnt mean it was bad. It was still good against us.

    Thats fair.

No he did not get out played by them. Harden outperformed Curry in the series and Kawhi did worse than Harden against an injury riddled GGS.

Idk.... even though we beat the Jazz twice in a row in the playoffs (4-1)... I really felt the Jazz could have won this year’s series as they really figured out defending the Rockets offensively as time went on.

I think we need a system “tweak” not a system “change”.

Take a look at the shooting stats from the middle of that last season to the end - he was shooting sub .300 which is what got him benched.

They had been using that switching defense long before that.

wouldn't matter what he shot. he would of been benched by PJ regardless because that's when they rockets realized the steps they took defensively were another level. you keep clinging to your idea and its completely wrong. the numbers @MrButtocks posted already disregard your self claim but in case you wanted to neglect it

It's this. This is what I've been advocating/arguing. ISO isn't the problem, it's slow pace and draining of the clock.

That tweak is putting players who better fit the system around the MVP ….

Really , you cant stop that guy. What you can do is hope the guys around him don't hit those shots he generates.

Oh don't worry people will complain...

But honestly, as good as an isolation player as JH is, you have to admit that in the playoffs the last three years the GSW defenses have stopped him when it mattered most.

Unlike us, they also can run set plays with motion and PnR on offense to free up open jump shots.

    Bingo.

Get the damn rock up the court in a hurry , get into forcing the switches faster and get down hill. Maybe you get a few easy ones as a result.

The biggest thing is we have missed a ton of open shots
    and
    failed to get rebounds

Well sure but the Cap is the issue with putting better players around Harden. Harden will have to adjust his game around our team.

Harden’s “your turn, my turn” ISO style has its limits. Harden can be stopped during a playoff series as we have seen year after year.

But if Harden maximized his teammates abilities, maybe missing open shots ( which are sometimes after 21 seconds of dribbling the air out of the ball) and missing rebounds wouldn’t be such an issue.

Harden standing in the corner while CP3 works just isn’t championship caliber behavior.

Whatever. The Rockets want to tweak their offense I’m fine with that, they should be doing that anyway.

The Rockets bigger issue is on the defensive side of the ball and just a lack of talent equal to Golden State.
