For the first time in the history of Mexico, President Fox has cancelled weekend celebrations for the Mexican Independance Day, Fiestas Patrias. A Mexican embassador said it would be "unseemly" for them to celebrate while people in the US "buried their dead." Would we cancel the 4th of July for something like this? This is HUGE for them.
