he was at nordstrom in fashion place mall in murray utah. he was wearing a ball cap backwards and was sporting a team USA jacket. sorry guys no pics... i didn't have even my camera phone with me. but i did stop and say hi to him. i think i caught him off guard... i was like, "Aaron Brooks!" and he looked at me like, "Who the F@%# are you?" haha... he wasn't expecting anyone from utah to recognize him or be friendly to him i'm sure. i went up and shook his hand and chatted with him about the game tomorrow night and how well the team has been playing lately. i complimented him on taking over the starting point guard job. he was very gracious and said thank you. he was very friendly and he made it a very cool experience. he gave me an all out high five and a chest bump and thanked me for the support. then i told him with a laugh: "PLEASE WIN TOMORROW NIGHT!" ...as if he needed any more pressure to beat this damn jazz team. just thought i would share. if you didn't already know, AB0 is a stud. paul
2 Questions. 1. What are you doing in Murray, Utah? 2. ...and a chest bump + high five? Hahaha Seems like a lot of people are meeting AB recently too.
epic..... i would never ask another player for a chest bump, or was it one of those shake hand then half hug type thing?
there was a half hug in there too, but more of a chest bump. we were getting amped talking about the team dog!
Ive met AB after the Suns game downtown, hes real cool, but that BS about a chest bump is very iffy buddy. He's an extremely laid back guy and that wasn't the vibe i got. By the way, he really got a kick out of gettin that lay-up by Shaq.
I was thinking the same thing.... AB is way chill, I used to play College Hoops 2K8 with him all the time on the 360.
Don't mean to threadjack, but I met AB at Emerald Bowl on Friday after the Minnesota game (around 11:30 PM). He had his own flag-designed bowling ball. He only bowled one game and if I recall correctly, he scored around a 160. My friend asked to take a pic with him, and it was obvious he was tired, but he agreed.
No chest bump, not even a shake hand then half hug type thing. No one else at the alley recognized him except for the employees. AB had reserved a lane.
