Hard to believe there are other guys besides 'Melo who could be traded! Few Rockets mentions. -Link [rquoter]...While Anthony is the marquee attraction on this season’s trade market, he’s far from the only player who could be moved before Thursday’s 3 p.m. ET deadline. Here are a few other names to watch. [/rquoter]
Hurry up already!!! All this Melodrama needs to be just end. But then it will still continue for a few days after he gets traded to his team. Melo wanting trade to NY + Denver front office inexperience = NBA league being held for ransom.
What if the Melo deal goes all the way down to the day of the deadline? They need to make a Melo trade deadline or extend the trade deadline for other teams!!!
Anthony Randolph and/or Nene FTW! If we get both--Then the line up can be: Spoiler PG: Kyle Lowry/Ish Smith SG: Courtney Lee/T-Will/(D-League prospect) SF: Chase Budinger/(D-League prospect)/(Houston own draft pick) PF: Anthony Randolph/P-Pat C: Nene/Jeff Adrien/(2nd round pick) If just for Nene: Spoiler PG: Kyle Lowry/McNeal SG: Kevin Martin/(Affalo?) SF: Budinger/_____/T-Will PF: Hayes/P-Pat/_____ C: Nene/Hayes If just for A.Randolph: Spoiler PG: Kyle Lowry/_____ SG: Kevin Martin/T-Will SF: Courtney Lee/Bud/_____ PF: (Scola?)/A.Randolph/Jefferies C: Hayes/(P-Pat?) Took me a while to type all this
Put me down for Wallace too. I would take: - Gerald Wallace - Stephen Jackson - Marcin Gortat - Steve Nash I think we could do some damage in the playoffs with those guys.
With Artest, there's always one thing I like to observe. For as much as we slam Shane for not contributing a whole lot on the offensive end and being passive, he scores more points at a more efficient rate than Artest. In short, Shane freaking Battier is currently a better offensive player than Artest.
I wouldn't be shocked if Melo rejects any trade to NJ and Morey jumps in to trade Kevin Martin and/or Luis Scola for Favors, Murphy, or some draft picks.
I'd definitly love to see that and then make a trade for Nene. Favors and Nene in the frontcourt would me nice but thats all just wishful thinking.
If Melo denies the trade and Morey cant find any major trades for good players NOW, I hope he would look at something like Martin Scola for Favors Murphy and however many picks he can squeeze. Or even for one less pick see if we can flop Miller for Petro in the deal then we atleast get a young 7 footer to have next year then a old Center that tries to play pg. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4mt2tq8
If Carmelo goes to the Nets, I give him about 2 weeks before he clashes with "the Little General" and starts causing problems. I wouldn't be surprised if Avery is a big reason he does not want to go to the Nets.
The only player on that list I'm interested in is Anthony Randolph. And I'm not exactly drooling over him. He's just the only guy on that list young enough to be worth pursuing considering the Rockets are about to begin rebuilding whether they want to or not.
How long will teams wait for a resolution to this Melodrama before they make move? What if nothing happens with Melo at all? - How long will teams wait to draw a line and say no we cant wait for this Melo thing to go to the last hour and realise they should make a move now? What if NY/NJ pull of a deal with Denver at the very last hour? Will teams literally wait untill the very last hour? What can all these teams do in the last hour? More importantly how long will Morey wait? The last thing I want to see happen is Morey waiting for Denver to make a move and Denver decides they dont want to make any move and by then the trade deadline is over. So many GMs are standing their with the penis in their hands and its very possible they will remain that way when the dead line is over.
I just want the Melo drama to be over with, so that all the other dominoes can fall into place and so that the Rockets can make the changes they need.
