STAT actually played great pre-Melo trade. In fact a lot fo the posters here were moaning about how we missed the boat on Amare despite his uninsured 120M contract. Between the two he's the guy more suited to winning basketball. Give him an average pg like Felton or better yet, an elite playmaker like Kidd, Nash or Rubio and see him put up 20+ pts every night again.
Neither. 'Melo is a selfish player that does not make his teammates better, and Amare's career is going to go downhill fast once his athleticism is gone (appears to be starting now). Melo is a great scorer, but you're not going to win a title with him as your best player. Otherwise the Nuggets would have been in the finals multiple times.
Our team is winning, then someone is asking Morey to get the losers from a losing team? I say, "No, thanks."
As well he should. For all the criticism that Adleman got around here for running his sysytem instead of trying to adjust the gameplan to his players D'Antoni is on another level of ineptness in this department. At least Adelman's offense produces wins. D'Antoni runs a flawed system that basically requires Steve Nash-level-talent making decisions to be run efficiently.
What franchise did he elevate? Seems the Nuggets got better once they traded his sorry ass. He never won a damn thing there because he is a selfish me first type guy and I don't think he will ever win a title. Denver, since **** canning his ass has been unbelievably good.
