Exactly. Capela played great in that series. Sure his offense production was lower than usual, but that is specifically because GSW had 2 guys down low concentrating on him & that Harden drive alley-oop pass to him. That defensive concentration downlow on Capela single handily led to Ariza & some others getting as wide open looks as you can get. Not his fault players like Ariza shot 0-12.
His weight has fluctuates quite a bit depending on whether he is taking HGH, supplements and his diet.
And this is the real reason why Morey subbed out Ariza and Lucs defense for melo offense on the catch and bounce it will be huge for our offense. Ennis will provide everything Ariza did on both sides imo.
His is why I think Capela is the key to unlocking Melo! http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/is-clint-the-key-to-unlocking-hooded-melo.292673/
That was last year's quote of the off season. I believe we have moved on to: The worst we're going to be is great.
Yeah.... well I suspect they will promise him just about anything at this point. Although Chris Paul is doing most of the talking and Harden is going along with Paul. One thing I can guarantee you is that Anthony will get to eat at the cool table with Paul, Harden and Tucker...... even with his new contract, Capela has to sit with the low lives like Ennis and Anderson.
Moreknee will surprise and flip the NBA upside down and sign D-Mo instead and start him in every game. Rejoice!
This is a giant milestone for Darnel Murrhey. He's been trying to assemble a 3-star lineup ever since he took the reins from CD. This process began in earnest during the off-season of 2012. When we started training camp that year, our roster looked something like this: Starters: Jeremy Lin Kevin Martin Marcus Morris Patrick Patterson Omer Asik Bench: Chandler Parsons Royce White Jeremy Lamb Daequan Cook Toney Douglas Scott Machado Terrence Jones Donatas Motiejunas Carlos Delfino Greg Smith Then on October 27 Maori somehow convinced Sam Presti to trade James Harden to us. The rest is six years of trying to build on that and get his 3 stars. He misfired with Dwight Howard, mistakenly assuming that Dwight would eventually see the light and change his game to better match the system. Murray had a very close call (and as it turned out, a dodged bullet) with Chris Bosh, who changed his mind at the last second. Carmelo could have been ours LAST summer if it weren't for the NY Kdicks refusing to take Ryno's contract. So we've traveled a long road, but bus driver Daryl has finally gotten us here. Time to win another effin' chip.
I sure hope so, because it's something I'm counting on. We need Ennis to step up. He's on a contender now and will likely have a more important role than he's been accustomed to having. This is his chance to shine. There's a money tree down the road if he does, and it just might have a ring hanging from a branch.
I think Melo will be a positive for us, but I don't think he's the 3rd best player on this team. So..
