Interesting, He is way more physical then Sabonis but is he mobile enough to guard Ariza on perimeter? one area that Ariza can expose him is that from the three point line. Make him move or just put Nene on him.
Ariza could definitely make him pay from behind the arc...hopefully he'll make his shots on Sunday. Gibson doesn't want to go out to the 3 point line and defend. If Nene is on him, then who would u have on Adams?
Capella could/will guard him. Another option is Harrell could get minutes at PF and play Nene and Capella on Adams.
Yes, but I think the long-term trend here is that the Ryno poachers will congregate in the "Ryan Anderson makes $18.7432876" thread and pile on that Anderson makes too much money because he takes out trash and tried to boogie w/ Boogie. MDA will get some leeway for this season we're having. The thread will be bumped for the draft when someone has the bright idea of trading Ryno for a first. Then a poster who joined three days prior will mercilessly assault Morey w/ a thread about how trading away the 1st will doom this franchise after their favorite college player was picked. And the cycle of social media continues.
I'd rather we didn't have 2 bigs on the floor because it could really affect our spacing on offense. I also don't like playing Harrell against teams like OKC because he just can't get a defensive rebound to save his life. If Dekker could hit a 3 then he would've been exactly what we need after Ryno's injury
Not related to the the thread but how about the big statement Harden made today at his good friend/mentor/coach announcement of being named the rice head coach. He told reporters that he never wants to leave smiled and said hint hint. Big extension coming this offseason? Locking him up for the rest of hie career in houston? Sounds like we all will get our wish that harden will be a rocket forever and retire here in Houston. Love it man this is a great day in houston sports.
Anderson has been far from irreplaceable this year. Streaky as hell and the worst defender I've ever seen, there was a good chance that if he played he would have shot us out of the game. If they lose tomorrow it won't be because Anderson was out.
So are we just gonna pretend that missing our best 3PT shooter is no big deal? Somebody better step up in this game, 'cause Harden usually don't play well against Roberson
