Of all the bbs suggestions we've had--More Torres, More Griffin, More plays for Rice, Less Moochie, More Running, More Flipper, Less Flipper, More Geometry, More Magic, More Mo, No Mo' Mo, Mo Bobbleheads, Damn Lanky... How did we all miss the most simple? Spring Mobley for easier looks like what we saw NY and Wash do with Sprewell and Rip Hamilton...wow! Chronicle: Mobley, Rockets must get creative Apparently, Rudy wants to simplify by getting creative with his current best player. Go figure! So, how can we be creative: maybe run Mobley around more picks, screens, flanks, traps, flares, bombs, quarterback sneaks, power plays, squeeze plays, double steals, options, puts, calls, drive-thrus, stop-n-go's, sleeze balls, putdowns, shake ups... ...what else am I missing... anymore ideas??? Maybe we can make up a George Carlin-esque list and email it to Rudy.
Personally, I like the idea of using the quarterback sneak, but we could also implement the ol' 7eleven play or some aerial dive bombings. It's become painfully obvious that the hail mary & rainbow plays can't be run effectively without a good old fashion panzer attack of some kind. We could also use a little more consistent air support. Hope this helps.
Does anyone think Mobley can average 30ppg while Francis and Rice are out? Even if he shoots, say. .400 from the field, our interior rebounding is pretty good. KT (footwork, boxing out), Willis and Cato seem to be grabbing quite a few rebounds this season. I feel bad for Rudy. It's so tough. Losing 4 starters? On the birght side of things, REALGM.COM is reporting that Francis has been cleared to shoot, and althogh is far from returning, will begin working on his game with Jim Boylen.
