Hyperbolic statements about great players not achieving god status is not a valid concern.

    Who said this? When?...

NO WAY!! I had NO IDEA you thought that...

Not celebrating...just not pissing on the team just because we don’t like the coach.

    That is You.

The point is BoB ultra-aggression in moves as GM, is a change for the Texans. I, for one, am interested to see how it plays out.

Beside the clowney trade, BoB trade are yielding positive results. I still believe that it was a sht trade to trade clowney for scrapes

As a Texans fan, what Kubes did in Denver doesn't matter to me anymore than what BoB might accomplish if he gets a second NFL gig someday. Looked it up and under Kubes, the Texans were 2 and 2 in the Playoffs with 2 Wildcard wins versus BoB's 1 and 3 with a single Wildcard win. And don't forget BoB's big Playoff loss to KC came with Hoyer, before he had Watson. Not a huge difference in Playoff wins, but it seems so much more futile now, so I agree with all your points concerning BoB.

THEN LET'S TALK ABOUT THAT ONE ONLY AND FOREVER!

Trade is done; he's gone, playing for a team that can't even beat a back-up QB at home. Must suck, though I wouldn't know: Texans don't have that problem...

How can a fan base be spoiled when they haven't been given anything?

Dude made playoffs with subpar qb play and people complained about running the ball. Watson has only been here a year and a half.

If fuller stayed healthy they would have been better last season. He got Stills and has eliminated that concern. If they stay healthy it will be the same team that Watson almost hung 60 on the Titans witb his rookie year

I will consider assuming a neutral stance on BOB if the Texans make it to the conference championship this year. And only consider.

Imagine a scenario where we either keep Clowney with our cap space or get a better haul because we didn't make it personal. What if we used those picks for a Melvin Gordon trade? Or to acquire better lineman?

Imagine a scenario where we acquire those Miami players without giving up so much or or or if we also got Minkah Fitzpatrick for all those picks.

They have the draft picks to trade into the first rd if they want to in next years draft.

Good players are drafted outside of the 1st rd every year.

This thread is going to age really well.

The Texans will do what they always do - they'll go something like 9-7 thanks to a terrible division and playing a bunch of backup QBs, they'll get obliterated in the playoffs when they play a real team, the typical BoB defenders will say they were never fans of his and would never defend him, he'll keep his job, and then as the offseason goes on, those same BoB non-defenders will start coming up with new excuses for him and we'll repeat the same process in September 2020, except with fewer draft picks.

Right, robbing Peter to pay Paul. Again

I'm not sure which was more foolish: paying Clowney to leave, getting crap players in return for Clowney, or paying Nick Martin.

It seems our window is 2-3 years. After that, too many players will be getting paid.

Now, if we make miracles from our draft picks, cool. But we are behind the 8-ball going in.

Texans were never going to trade for Gordon and pay him $13 million a year. They acquired Tunsil. Texans had to overpay to force the trade....Miami was not trading him. Good linemen are Never traded, that’s why they overpaid for Tunsil. Fitzpatrick only came available after Tunsil.

Texans made it clear they were never going to keep Clowney. I personally think addition by subtraction is a real possibility. You were not going to get the value for Clowney. I don’t think the Texans were offered more than a 3rd rounder for Clowney before the draft. His injury history I believe played a factor. U point to Frank Clark, the Chiefs were offered Clowney and chose Clark.

Fitzpatrick is not what the Texans’ need. They need a cover cornerback. Fitzpatrick is a Safety.

Unless you're the Texans and trade Duane Brown out of spite (see a trend?).

Funny, given that people tried to compare his value to Mack earlier, and Mack was also a holdout.

Don’t focus on the examples, focus on the Texans buying high and selling low because they made things too personal and were too incompetent. Waiting until the last minute to move players and correct a crap GMs previous moves is going to cause overpays and undersells.

Jason Peters, Eugene Monroe, Max Unger, Duane Brown, Cordy Glenn, Kevin Zeitler, Laremy Tunsil all traded. BoB overpaid because they didn't have any choice but to make an offer Miami couldn't refuse.
