His gripe is that Harden is not allowing Lin to thrive.Comments like Lin is getting frustrated and he should go Asik.lol

And you are delusional. The Rockets are among the six teams with a realistic chance at the chip this season and Harden is clearly the best player.

    My 2 cents worth.

If I was the rockets, I'd be crazy to let Lin go.
From my understanding, he brings in lots of $$$ for the Rockets (eg the Chinese market),
so from a purely business point of view, he'd be a positive.

From a basketball point of view, you could do a lot worse.
He's not the best player out there, but he's far from the worse.

BUT if I were Lin, I'd be asking for a transfer.
ie. I think I am good enough to get more minutes, but the coach
thinks otherwise, so I will go somewhere where the coach will play
    me more minutes.

I wonder if the people involved would consider a Asik/Lin for Gasol trade.
The salaries would work out, more or less.

Yep a guy averaging 28-6 boards 7 assists in the last six games and 25 points 4 boards 6 assists on the season at 24 is overrated.

Agreed. Also when someone recently signs up, immediately jumps into Lin arguments, but has this to say...

I usually have my eyebrow raised.

Lin does not bring in revenue to the Rockets. All of the money he generates is distributed by the NBA to all 30 teams.

Lin is perfect as the back up point guard and back up shooting guard. AB and Bev just do not have the size to play at the shooting guard position. While Lin has a much lower usage rate than Harden, he is putting up Harden like numbers this season.

Lin at this moment is averaging 28.8 minutes. That's including the game he got hurt and only played 4 minutes. The league leader in minutes for a PG is 37.8 minutes per game. This is the absolute high end, generally most PGs are somewhere in the 32-35 range.

If I were a betting man I'd bet at the end of the season Lin is averaging 30-32 minutes per game.

So your saying he needs to force his way out of a contender, one which he plays a significant role, for the right to play a handful more minutes?

He doesn't just play well off the bench. I don't disagree with anything you wrote except that. He played well as a starter or off the bench. Just played well. He hasn't played off of the bench for the season, he's played almost half of his games as a starter and did well in most if not all games as a starter.

    It was all speculation.

In that if I were a player, any player, and all I want is to do is to play,
and I feel I am not allowed to play more in this team, I ask to go to a team
which will give me more playing time.

    There is precedence for this.

It is what Asik is doing.

Am in the end, I have no idea what is going through Lin's head.
Just what I'd do if I were in his position (or Asik's).

that is pretty much the only reason, seems weird but what can you do. there are some very knowledgeable Lin fans that are a pleasure to debate with but then there are people like baki who think the number one SG in the NBA is overrated.

Oh god I don't even bother with that

Bottom line is, Lin is playing well (pre-injury), hes a unique player that allows us another edge that we will need, but the amount of posters that are hell-bent on him getting traded just to take his nutcase fans away is rediculous, and they're losing sight of this bigger and frankly more important picture in terms of how does Lin help/hinder this team from getting Ws and getting a Chip.

Yes Lin's 15M$ next year for his role is way too expensive.

Oddly enough Lin is not a unique player. He is a mini Harden, who is just perfect for the Rockets. I cannot imagine that he will be traded anytime soon given that the Rockets appear to be in the running for a ring. He may be the perfect backup to both the point guard and the shooting guard positions.

The only relevant number is his cap hold. You know little.

that's what I'm trying to say. Lin was playing great, now he is recovering and will probably need a couple more days to get back in form. Be patient and it will all work out

You are so far up Harden's ass that everyone looks like a LOF... Please show me a single post where I praised Lin. I may not bash Lin like you guys like to do, but far from a LOF.
