I think we are capable of beating anyone Texans just need to stay true to themselves and block out the noise whether they say we contenders or frauds Watson says one practice one day one game at a time
It's great to hear the talking heads banter about stuff that won't matter in the playoffs... that occur from week 1 to week 12 of the NFL schedule. Does this momentum help us in terms of confidence heading into the playoffs? Sure. Does it matter that we didn't beat the NY Giants or Tennessee Titans (whom we just whooped up on) to begin the season. No. It doesn't even matter that the Titans beat the Patriots a couple weeks ago because if we look at it that way... we beat the Broncos and they beat the Steelers. Which means we're better than both those teams! Right? Not. Head to head matchups don't matter until the playoffs begin and even then if a team is a top seed heading into the playoffs, that won't matter either if the opposing team is on a hot streak and playing peak football by the time a 1 and a 3 seed meet up. We've got to remember the 2012 Baltimore Ravens and what they did. With one game eliminations, anything truly is possible.
If they make the playoffs, they're contenders. Period. Anything can happen over the course of 60 minutes. They're not playing long series against these teams where the cream would eventually rise; no - it's one game where literally one play can swing the outcome. It's silly to waste any additional thoughts of the legitimacy of their contender status... Make it to the postseason, you're a contender. Everyone should just enjoy it.
Colts lost to the Jags Steelers lost to the Broncos Saints lost to the Cowboys Vikings lost to the Bills Panthers lost to the Redskins Ravens lost to the Browns Patriots lost to the Titans yet somehow Texans haven't beaten anyone
