That's excellent for the Rockets. Massive setback for the Clippers, Mavs still suck. Their starting Point Guard is Raymond Felton.
Chandler Parsons is coming off knee surgery. Wes Matthews is coming off an achilles injury late in the year. Dirk is 109 years old. DJ will be an upgrade over Tyson Chandler, but they are not significantly different players without Chris Paul. Not seeing the Mavericks being any better than last year.
Our bench hasn't gone anywhere as of yet. Relax, I'm sure Morey is on top of things. This is not directed at you specifically, but why are people freaking out about the Mavericks and them suddenly being a destination for the future? They will be a good team again this year, but in the West DJ, CP and Wes won't even get you to the WCF...they shouldn't scare any of the top teams in the West.
They're always a destination with Cuban at the helm. But they've struck out far more than they've landed any big name free agents in most of the recent offseasons. Jordan is their first real success(jury's still out on Matthews because of the injury). I just don't see this team contending though. Does anyone think they're as good as the Warriors? The Spurs with or without Aldridge? The Rockets(assuming they don't lose any key players)? The Grizzlies? A healthy Thunder team? They're a lower seed in the West that at best will win one series in an upset.
Good news for the Rockets Two rivals have become totally watered down. This Dallas team may not even make the playoffs Its good for Cuban though cause he can still sell ticket holders a pipe dream

Cuban just won't accept that his team needs to rebuild. Instead he's going on a shopping spree for good role players -- none of which are all-stars (Parsons, Matthews, Jordan). Have fun once again being a low tier playoff team at best. And that's assuming Parsons/Matthews fully recover from their surgeries!
This is one of the few times I'm glad the Mavs won. RIP Clippers as any sort of contender. Maybe Roy Hibbert ends up there if the Clips/Mavs/Pacers can work out a three-way trade. The shoes would seem to fit for it to happen.
Clips about to fall of the deep end. Tyson to DJ is a pretty lateral move, DJ is younger and more athletic. Still not concerned about Dallas at all. Overall as long as we either keep our bench or replace them we're still a top teir team in the west.
They sign Parsons, Matthews and Jordan and now some are fearful that they may become a destination for free agents? How are those three guys any different than any other team with any other three guys? Any other western conference team you can think of has three players that can be considered as good of pieces to work around as those three. Is Wesley Matthews any worse or better than say Wilson Chandler? How about Parsons? Any better than Lawson? Jordan that much better than Faried in the grand scheme of things? These three guys are the most bland threesome of players I can think of to build with in Dallas. There is absolutely no reason to think that any star would want to go there and play with those three over virtually any other set of three players in the NBA.
