    Yep that teams a real winner, no need to match Parsons.

    We'd only have around 8-9 million in cap space, that makes me think Deng and maybe even Ariza would be out of the picture, leaving us with options like Tucker, Pierce or Marion.

    That's the real nightmare scenario. Howard can opt out in 2 years. And I don't even think it'll come to that. Assume that Bosh re-ups with Miami and Morey allows Parsons to walk. That renders this team as no more than first round fodder next season. You think Dwight's gonna be eager to sign an extension after two straight first round knockouts? Yeah, me neither.

    Under those circumstances, the Rockets may look to cut their losses and trade Howard before or during the 2015-16 season rather than lose him for nothing. Over the next few days, we may see this team go from potential contender to retooling(or even rebuilding) over the next few years.

    The reality is probably that Parsons received a offer he couldn't refuse and him signing the offer sheet has nothing to do with Lin.

    Asik deal cant be completed until Sunday, so we don't actually have the cap space right now to sign Bosh to a max before matching Parsons, right?

    So if the Rockets must match Parsons by Sunday, but can't finalize Asik trade to clear room for Bosh until Sunday.. is Parsons + Bosh dead now?

    Morey has reiterated over and over again that the goal is to win now. He and the Rockets organization are competitive people.

    If you guys think that we lose out on both Bosh and Parsons, there is no way this team is moving forward.

    You add players that get you wins. You don't let them walk and waste a year.
