This should be in the Dish. Also, even though I hate the Mavs, they have every right to be angry. Deandre Jordan pulled a classless, spineless, flip-floppety move on them. Wasn't fair. They made other signings and missed out on other opportunities because they were told, from DJ himself, that they were going to get Jordan. There has to be a rule change. This could set a dangerous precedent for other teams. I know the NBA likes getting media coverage in the free agent process, but this was a bad look for the whole league.

How was this a bad business move by Dallas? They had a verbal agreement with DJ for 4 years/$80 million. They had to save that cap space and not sign any other free agents with it until he could actually sign that contract. While waiting, Jordan changes his mind at the last minute. After most of the other free agents have already had deals at other places. You could argue about whether or not $80 million was a good move or not to sign Deandre. But I don't see how you could say this was a bad business move by Dallas?
