So can we officially lable this guy a bust?

His completion percentage has been over 80% but it looks as if the majority of them are coming off short throws and dump off passes to the RBs. There is no big play-making ability in this guy and that is what looks to be his biggest weakness/downfall.

Honestly Max Hall has looked a lot than him this preseason and this shows how much of a baby he is. He didn't even go to the coach before he made these statements.

WTF? I want an explanation, but I'm not actually going to make the effort to ask for one?

Only saw him during that Texans game but dear god he was doing a good David Carr impersonation out there.

    FIXED or no?

I don't see where he "expresses displeasure"...
In his first few games, I remember DC say something to the likes of "Well, I am not the one who calls the plays." :( But he lasted a long time (that's what SHE said) playing quarterback for the team.

LOL right?! I haven't seen him play that much this preseason but the articles I've read are calling him Captain Checkdown. Seems like he hasn't matured at all and I think its fair to label him as a bust. Wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals cut him after the final preseason game.

So, after reading the quotes from him, you are gathering that he thinks it's just A-OK that the coach hasn't named him the starter?

    You're ignoring his intangibles.

Well, ok, I know he's not A-OK, but I am talking about the way that the report's headlines say something he DIDN'T say (on the other hand, the report doesn't say "Leinhart said that...", either. Not important, really... I just thought, "man, the media like to ruffle feathers." It is a concern for the Cards, though, to have this just two weeks before the season starts. Meh, that's all the time for any team who lost their veterans.

he'll never live down the fact that he passed number one money to stay one more year at USC, i guess he was getting number one money there though :)

Actually that was just my title.

This was their's: Matt Leinart still upset about situation

I guess I like to ruffle a few feathers but I'm not a part of the media by any means.

On Topic - VY looks like a better QB than Leinart at this point in their careers. And Brady Quinn shouldn't be considered a bust, imo, if Tebow turned out to be a failure at the QB position would you consider him a bust?

I remember seeing the post game conference after his last game and I couldn't believe he was complaining about the blitzes. It almost seemed like he thought they shouldn't be able to.

@Gambo620: Spoke with a member of the New York Giants today who told me that rumblings in the Gmen's lockeroom is that Matt Leinart is on his way to NY
