I definitely think Harden should win the MVP undoubtedly, but 87-88 MJ is really a bad comparison. That year MJ also averaged 3.2 steals and 1.6 blocks per game(both numbers are historic for a guard), and won DPOY(only season where a played is awarded a DPOY while leading the league in scoring). So defense really played a huge part in MJ's MVP case that year.

Prediction: The Giannis arguments will focus on rebounds, team winning %, and "defense" (generally without any specific stats), without any acknowledgement of what Harden has done.

Bullard can pull the "I played in Greece during the second championship year." If anyone has the right to be bitter to the Rockets and pro Greek, it's him.

I hope Bull mentions that the best record in the NBA means nothing when the Eastern Conference has 3 solid teams (Bucks, Raptors, Sixers). The Celtics have been a massive disappointment. The Pacers are the 4th seed and they don't even have a healthy Oladipo. It's laughable. The Nets, Pistons and Heat could never compete for a playoff spot in the West. The Kings, Timberwolves, and Lakers could all possibly make it into the playoffs in the East though.

And if he doesn't have the best record argument what does he have?

Regardless of what you think of either announcer, this sounds cringeworthy as hell.

Besides, everyone knows the best place for these sorts of calm, rational, and intellectual debates are the halls of Clutchfans, so this whole exercise is already obviated.

Debating with Giannis voters is a waste of time, they are literally delusional and can't see past Harden's media created negative narratives.

    "play 0 defense"

    "inefficient"

    "high usage rate"

    "shoots a lot of 3s"

    "product of D'antoni system"

"half of his points are from FTs"

there’s really nothing to talk about

Bull: Harden did something that hasn’t been done since Wilt

Novak: but Giannis has them wins tho

Bull: Harden did something that Kobe couldn’t do

Novak: Ok, but what about those wins?

Bull: only MJ has done what Harden has done

Novak: that’s nice, but these wins...oh, and Giannis plays D

Bull: Harden is the best post defender in the NBA, and he leads the league in steals and deflections

Novak: Harden plays no D, stop lying Bull

The Bucks are on pace to win 61 games. Someone in the league has had at least 61 wins going back to 2012. I'm not sure why this would be such a big deal to voters. Several times more than one team had 61 or more wins in a season.

The wins are nice and they'll be rewarded in the playoffs, but most valuable player? Nah.. the guy whoopin' everybody around is MVP.

"Look, Steve. First, Harden does play defense. Second, if defense is so important, how come you and I had NBA careers and Charles Barkley won MVP back in 1993?"

    Completely no D.

Novak speaking of defense is a joke. Lol.

Bottom line to end all. In 3 years we won’t remember Gannis’ stat line from this season. In 40 years Harden’s picture will be on an ESPN graphic next to Jordan or Wilt as the only players to ever (insert accomplishment here).

Pointless. It will be Giannis. People change their criteria quickly when the player they'd have to vote for is not the one they prefer.

Bullard better bring the heat tonight...this is our chance to hit home just how historic Harden has been and why it would be crazy to not give him the MVP award...he better come with facts, stats, and anything else to make it clear that Harden should be this year’s MVP...bring up our record since that 11-14 start...bring up him averaging over 40 ppg over a 30+ game stretch and more...let these fools now what Harden is actually doing on defense

    he needs to DESTROY Novak

he better not hold back like Morey always does when he’s making the rounds on all these shows and podcasts...I’m gonna need solid rebuttals to everything Novak is saying...don’t concede a single point, and none of that “I wouldn’t be mad if Giannis won it, they’re both just as deserving” bullsh*t either

if Shaq says anything, DESTROY him...if sellout Kenny brings up any pro-Giannis nonsense, DESTROY him
