[Marvel TV] Iron Fist (Netflix)

Some of the acting and dialogue seems off in the first episode.

 

the guy playing Danny . . .
I know he is from the GAME OF THRONES . . but he did not do much in that
and seeing him try to carry this show . . .. I see why

His screen presence is not strong
and his acting is meh at best
WORSE . .. his martial arts skill is near non existent . . ..
After DareDevil Season 2 . . . the Fight scene bar has been raised very high
and he is not making the cut at all

What episode are you on? I'm just not loving it so far. I'm through episode 2. I'm a DC bro but the Netflix marvel shows have been blowing me away until now

 

It's not great, but it's not nearly as bad as the "rotten tomatoes 14%" made me expect. It's not "turn it off because I can't stand it anymore" bad.

I'm on 5, def got better

 

So far half the dialogue seems cheesey--but its still easily better than the entirety of Luke Cage.

 

Maybe the second half of Luke Cage . . . . .
but the 1st 6 episodes was far superior to anything in this dumpster fire.

No love for Alfre Woodard or Cottonmouth Mahershala Ali? Those were spot on.

 

Think I'll pass and watch Into The Badlands season 2 instead.

A guy that works for me said it was awesome and he might like Iron Fist better than JJ.

I honestly hate the main actor and the black girl that's in every one of these shows is shoehorned to the damn maximum. Don't regret watching yet though

 

Everybody loves to build up people or companies into big success stories, and then tear them back down.

I wonder how much the negative reviews leading into the release date were about taking glee in Marvel failing.

IMO, it's really not that bad at all. I liked Luke Cage on the whole but it had some major issues with the story arc and unevenness. I'm through the end of Episode 4 and I like it better than the the WB superhero shows, or Agents of Shield. If it wasn't following the other "Defenders" related series on Netflix, I doubt it gets all the bad reviews.

 

I like it so far and I am on episode 10 and I knew nothing about the character before I started watching. I don't like it better than the CW show but thats because I am a DC fan and I am much more familiar with those characters but I have enjoyed all the Netflix Marvel series so far.

 

Much love for Cottonmouth, but once what happened to him happened to him, Mike Colter couldn't carry on the charismatic weight of the show. And the 2nd half of the season severely crippled whatever goodwill the 1st half built.

 

this show needed more flashbacks of his training (like half the show) ...would have made the show a lot better.

 

I was so disappointed at that. Cottonmouth was awesome. DC needs to pick that actor up for their movies. Make him a batman villain, that dudes voice is just badass

 

This is the 3rd Netflix season that has 'The Hand' (Daredevil 1 and 2 are the others) and I still have no idea what their goals are. I wish they would stop using them as the great evil if they cant explain clearly their mission. Probably waiting for Defenders to do it.
