Man, I'm usually not into comic book movies or series, but this jessica jones series has got a hold of me, and krysten ritter, and really the entire cast, but she is freaking awesome and so perfect in this role. Probably the best comics inspired series since Smallville.
hot damn, i thought this series was going to be released into 2016. what a nice find that it's already up for viewing. now i got something to watch during rockets collapses.
NEXT UP: Luke Cage Daredevil : GOOD Jessica Jones: GOOD My expectations are good Will there be a part 2 on Daredevil soon? Rocket River
Daredevil >>>>> Smallville Smallville is Superman with training wheels. Actually next up is season 2 of Daredevil which will heavily feature Punisher. Elektra and Luke Cage are expected to have major roles also.
Kilgrave was spectacular, and Tennant was awesome in the role. Ritter was also really good. Marvel hit it out of the park again, I thought it was better than Daredevil.
I agree Jessica Jones is consistently good. Daredevil has more highs but the lows were bad. That Foggy episode was so awful I had to take a break from the series. The back half of Daredevil wasn't nearly as good as the first half; it took me a while to finish it. Jessica Jones was a lot easier to watch; I actually wanted to see what happened next. I liked all of Jessica Jones' characters too. It is a dark show but the moments of levity were genuinely funny. Was not sure about the Luke Cage casting when they announced him, but this guy was spot on; he is great! The creepiest thing about Kilgrave is that he has no ambition. Not enough super powers for my taste. Fight choreography was damn awful too. Since they were super strong they would just throw people around and that was it.
I think episode 8 was when things started to get murky. The writers knew what they were doing when you get to know a little about his back story.
I'm not an expert on the character, but I don't think it would have brought anything to the table. What is great about the show is that there is a certain realness to characters and their abilities. When you watch most super hero shows/movies, you always ask why didn't they just use their power to do this or that. That didn't happen in this show too much.
I thought they were going to do it at one point and figured it would be an strong inciting incident for the climax but Yea he could not have been for the whole series . . .. I am not overly disappointed I don't think they referred to him by that name once Rocket River
Spoiler He did go purple though. Remember when his dad gave him the juice his veins were purple. Then again when he yelled stop in the final episode he turned Purple momentarily. I'm using spoilers even though I don't think I should. It's a spoiler, but everyone has watched this show, right?
It's been out for 3 days...no...everyone hasn't watched it. I'm 4 episodes in and I'd say that's above average.
I've not finished it yet, but there really shouldn't be the nice choreography that was in DD. There should be a lot of one punch, one toss and out when a super strong person goes against someone without the endurance to take that kind of hit. Granted, at times, the characters are holding back. I'm not much of a DC fan, but one of my favorite moments from that universe was Superman telling Darkseid he liked fighting him because he could beat him down and not have to worry about accidentally killing him.
