do you have to know what's going on to appreciate this?

I've seen Guardians of the Galaxy's, kind of Dr. Strange (sort of, wasn't paying 100% attention so was confused lol) and maybe like one Captain America...

It's not that I dislike Marvel movies, I just don't go to movies very much...

    No one knows.

Nah, it's an action movie with a bunch of people fighting. If you have testicles you will like it.

I'm being petty because they explicitly stated it'll be two entirely separate films? Sure, k.

They lied, by all accounts of the reviews that think the ending of this film has balls but leaves things in the air for next year’s film.

They won’t call it Infinity War I and Infinity War II. I think they just didn’t want to tamp down the box office of THIS one by letting on that this is the first half of one big story.

    Was good.
Might watch again which I have never done before, going to the theaters for the same movie twice.

I'm glad the new trilogy works for new fans, but as an ardent fan of the mythology around the originals I find it severely disappointing. Between Episodes 1-3 and now 7 and 8 I feel like they took a wrecking ball to all of what made Star Wars "special."

I was fine with 7. Enjoyed it. I think Rogue One is great! But 8 was just awful for a ton of reasons...including emptying 7 of any real meaning.

Right, Rogue One was great, I enjoyed 7 even though I admit it was rehashing some of the same stories and was optimistic but now I feel like 8 has sucked the meaning out of the franchise.

Yea I'm with @seclusion on this one. This stopped being two parter a while back. A two parter would assume Infinity Wars ends on a cliffhanger that needed to be concluded in the next film which I don't think is the case.

Maybe have a prerequisite on seeing Civil War, Thor Ragnarok at least. Doctor Strange does help but not necessary.

Infinity War is non-stop. There's not much time for character development because audiences should know how these characters are by now in the last 10 years. Just like you don't watch Harry Potter the Deathly Hollows unless you've seen the past 6-7 films.

off the top of my head, Gamorra, bucky, panther, Dr Strange, spidey, most of the GOTG except for raccoon, agent Hill and Samuel L Jax, Scarlett Witch, Falcon. They basically was 'erased' and their bodies physically withered to sand, Vision and Gamorra was the 2 who were killed outright by Thanos.

The reviews pretty much state that it IS the case. Cliffhanger.
