We don’t know that the other Multiverse Captain Marvel is dead. The main MCU cap took a Power-Stone powered punch from Thanos and shook it off. A statue fell on their cap.

I think the redemption might just be bringing the other Wanda into the main MCU via the big Secret Wars event.

    Just watched this. Mixed feelings.

First half felt like a bad mashup of a non-MCU Marvel movie and a terrible Disney Channel series.

Second half, post Illuminati meeting was fantastic...top level, fun stuff.

Not sure why the first half didn't do it for me. Just fell completely flat. And I loved the first DS. I do plan on letting this one stew for a while and then give it a rewatch.

Pretty much agree with both of these things. The beginning kind of had a Disney Plus feel to it, but with top tier CGI/effects/budget.

I like Sam Raimi. Thought his first half gimmicks tried to make it light hearted. Some hits and misses, like with the musical notes fight...would make more sense reading from a book. But zombie strange... you'd hate not to see Raimi do that.

With all the rewrites and reshoots, they prob got feedback that the second half couldn't cut it with the same vibes. ::Shruggs::

Magneto was apparently slated to be in this film but got cut.
