I know Wonder Woman was a DC film, but it was great. The Black Widow trailers look good also. I thought Captain Marvel was "okay". If the story is good I don't think having a female lead will detract from the story.
Would Michael B. Jordan even want to take on the role of the next Black Panther? I feel like he'd want to respect Chadwick as much as possible and not be the next king of Wakanda.
He wouldn't be BP just a spicy homeboy prince (king?) supporting character who would have a big critical side quest -- the bad stuff he did would be easy to wash away. i think they try to bring him back because he is the most interesting developed character.
I disagree; I think that 'replacing' a black icon with a recast right now is a little touchy. Better to give him a sendoff, which I agree with and support. But that's cool, I respect your opinion
This is a pretty good video that sort of explains the sensitivity with recasting BP vs replacing the Character. It gives a pretty compelling argument for Shuri. It also highlights something I was thinking about this morning. Original BP can still be around ala Star Wars force ghosts via the Spirit Realm and movie magic.
With all the feminism and LGBTQ stuff being rammed down our throats recently, wouldn't be surprised the new Panther would be a transgender black woman who is gender neutral and identifies as a panther
Marvel Fans Force Elizabeth Olsen Off Social Media While it is unclear exactly what happened, apparently Elizabeth Olsen didn't post a comment or response fast enough about Chadwick Boseman's death to Feige's Marvel zombie fans' liking, so they ganged up on her, bullied her, and harassed her, which they are ought to do. Following the death of Chadwick Boseman on Friday, those same types of toxic fans were also quick to worry about the state of Black Panther 2, while the actor had passed away just a few hours earlier. https://cosmicbook.news/marvel-fans-force-elizabeth-olsen-instagram?amp
Why not take it in a different direction and give our yellow friends some representation? Yellow Panther starring Jackie Chan.
Don't really knows if it's marvel fans doing this are they bothering Jessica Alba for some reaction cause she was the Invisible Woman on fantastic 4?
I realize not many people here do research except @Ziggy 99ers but Shuri IS THE BLACK PANTHER IN THE COMICS (version 2, like Miles Morales as Spiderman)
I watched about 10 seconds of that before I wanted to punch that guy. But I'm down with it if she has the rack she has in the comics.
