That is not encouraging given that the human brain cells are starting to deteriorate by age 28 something. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...e-When-body-really-starts-going-downhill.html
Voted "He's meh - small chance he develops into a good player." Hopefully he's going to develop here, assuming he'll still be here in a couple of months...wouldn't be shocked if he's traded/dumped soon all things considered.
Those guys both ended up being NBA rotation players for many years. I'm not sure what your expectations are here but you need to lower them. I'll be thrilled if Chriss proves to be a quality back up you can count on for 10-15 minutes per game.
My expectations are zilch. I'd love a 10-15 quality backup. Hell, I'd even be happy if he flames out here and gets flipped for a pick or something of value.
I see a lot of folks saying he reminds them of Thomas Robinson or Jordan Hill so he must suck. Even though neither lived up to their draft status or hype they have carved out careers in the NBA as bench guys. That's all we really need out of Chriss. If he pays off big? Double plus good.
I like! Morey is starting to put together a worthy roster..... getting players with length and athleticism. Chriss is similar to D'Andre Jordan but he has the ability to shoot, as well. People said the same thing about D. Jordan when he came out of A&M; athletic but raw. CP3 made him a household name
Marquese Chris reminds me of Markieff Morris type of player, I hope he gets stronger to play as a Center more, stretch the floor with his 3 point shot, improve his free throws, not bash Harden on Twitter, stay off of Twitter.
I'm not trying to become Chriss' public defender, but how many players (bigs specifically) have the Suns been able to draft and develop in the past 4-5 years? Also, that guy isn't even coaching the team anymore, obviously for good reason.
He's a really fluid athlete, which is a big plus since we're lacking that. But he hasn't shown much promise in terms of actual basketball skills. His outside shot is ugly. Not much passing or ballhandling skills either. And everyone has already touched on his lack of bball IQ. Looks like a career bench player.
John Lucas took Clint and turned him into a $18 mln a year player. So, I'm very confident he can do the same with Chriss to give us 15 minutes a game spelling Clint. If not, he rides the pine and is gone after this year. No big deal..
Some people get it and some people don’t on this thread. Did he suck at Phoenix? Yes Will he gave every possible advantage in Houston? Yes Do we need him to do anything other than clean up trash on the offensive and defensive end? Not really. Does he have the athletic attributes to do so? Yes Is it possible he’s such a freaking idiot he’s going to piss away this chance? Of course Does it really matter if he does piss it away? Nope Is it a stretch to think he could be a decent to good backup 5 that helps spell CC and tallies us to keep a likely washed NENE in mothballs ? Not at all. Is mouree the bestest GM in the World? No diggity
Chriss is the guy fans love to dream on and believes he just needs a chance in the right situation to unlock his limitless physical potential. But the reality is that he does not work hard, has no basketball acumen, and has a bad attitude. While I wouldn’t say he has 0% chance to succeed, the number isn’t much higher than that.
