    This is a very underrated trade for Memphis.

    They will love Chalmers, whose a very decent defender and will not need the ball on the hand a lots.

    Memphis is named as the grind house, they need this type of player to fit their system.

    This is no doubt an upgrade for them.

    They actually don't care if he can improve their offense, I think they just want to hold people in the 80-90 scoring range to play their game, which exactly is their style.

    Beno Udrih is not a good defender and Jarnell Stokes looked like nobody so far in the NBA, they did not give up anything at all.

    Memphis will likely lose 8 of their next 10 games then go into official tank mode. Their upcoming schedule is BRUTAL, next up is Golden State. Mike Conley will not resign there and they know it. Mario Chalmers is a cheap replacement.
