co worker of mine just said he spotted Mario Chalmers at the target in San Felipe. Sure doesn't mean anything but interesting that Mario is specifically in Houston. His Twitter feed is all about him getting back to basketball shape, who knows? Btw this post isn't to indicate he should be with the Rockets, just saying.
Exactly. Not sure how much longer before he can return, but I would be ALL about giving him a deal and cutting Ennis. Ennis is awful and Chalmers CAN be a good bench player.
Mario would be awesome to have here. Better than half the bench. I still can't believe a guy like Norris Cole isn't playing in the NBA but Tyler Ennis, Bobby Brown and KJ Mcdaniels are.
There is NO WAY he could be worse than Ennis. I was hoping Ennis was going to be another case of Morey identifying talent in an under-used back up ala Kyle Lowry or Goran Dragic. Unfortunately he's not even Zyle Lowry or Zoran Dragic.
Ennis did ok last night. Yeah, John Wall blew past him once, but that happens to everyone. I think I'd rather give Ennis some time to develop.
Ennis sucks. There is no other team in the NBA that would have this scrub playing. Dude is terrible. If Mario is healthy I'd take a look at him
When Ennis plays within himself and knows his limits he is "OK". I have observed more than a few times during Bev's injury that he kept the ball moving among the second team. However our team thrives on outside shooting and there he is not threat, but has still thrown up some clunkers. He is average at best at getting to the rim. So there you have it... stick to passing. And Bobby Brown should stick to ...well hell I don't know WHAT he should be doing. Basketball just isn't it.
A healthy Chalmers would complete our backcourt rotation quite well with defense, shooting and experience.
http://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/ba...halmers-still-going-through-recovery-process/ Edit...found a more recent story from 11/29 Chalmers (Achilles) is still "not physically ready" to be cleared for a return to action, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports. Chalmers' name was brought up regarding rumors surrounding the Grizzlies, a team he's had a previous relationship with and is currently in the market for a guard after Mike Conley went down for an extended absence with a back injury. However, according to MacMahon, Chalmers was excluded from that conversation due to needing more time in the recovery process, so it appears he's not a full-go quite yet. Chalmers was hoping to be cleared for full activity mid-November, but it looks as if that timeline could extend well into December. He'll look to latch on with a contender once back to 100 percent.
Chalmers was a key component in those Lebron-led Heat title runs. He's tough, can hit the 3 ball, and has been in high pressure situations (like 4 straight title runs on a heavily scrutinized Miami heat team). I would love to have him on this team to add a veteran presence, more toughness, and 3 point shooting off the bench
Chalmers giving us 10-15 min a night would be great assuming that injury didn't ruin him. The players never really return the same after Achilles ruptures. From March 2015 http://instreetclothes.com/2015/03/07/examining-achilles-injuries-in-the-nba/
