Remarkable signing. Our biggest issues besides a secondary ball handler was havig no scorers on the floor when Harden was out once Dmo got iniured. At worst he's going to be a excellent spot up shooter for us. At best he's going to be the Sactown version for us which will be a huge boost for us.

He doesn't make his teammates better, but with our limited capspace signing those players will be very hard. Heck Corey Joseph got 4yr/30m contract.

He's a volume scorer, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. He is a shot maker and not the kind of Guy that gets to the line all the time. Those guys are going o take a lot of shots. And heck better he takes shots in half court sets than Brewer.

By my count that's I think 13 players currently signed if you include Harrell and Delker and exclude KJ and Smoove. I'm almost certain Morey will look at a 2 for 1 deal soon and maybe resign Jet as a veteran locker room guy on the team.

Well JT it was good having you in Houston. Loved the leadership you brought us, but.........

I'd take Thornton in this situation anyday

Great value signing. There's definitely very little downside with this move.

That said, whomever brought up the Reggie Williams comparison has a very good point. Thornton isn't necessarily a lock to make the final roster. Obviously, we're all hoping for the best, though.

Thornton always seemed like a chucker, don't get why everyone is so happy.

Jason Terry plays the 1 for the Rockets.
Did you guys not watch the season/playoffs?

There is still room on this team for JT as a 3rd PG
    Might have to trade Johnson

We are in need of a bench chucker though.

Nicks a 2 guard. Also even if JT is our 3rd string and Nick would play PG, that would mean Pablo is gone

I'd rather have Pablo stay than Terry... if it came to that.

Pablo is gone. He is retiring from the NBA.

Yeah Oakdogg. This is something many believe. That if you just add a 3 point shooter then you fix your problem. It's not like this. Without a good playmaker your shooter percentages drop. It's not bad luck or even a slump. It's the team guards.

I am not confident to make a thread about this tho. If someone else would like to be my guest.

Terrence Jones, Brewer & DMo all scored more than 25 in a game last season.

It's amazing how Spurs were all in. No flexibility and still managed to move pieces to sign LMA

Don't believe this necessarily means goodbye to JET just yet.

Neither Howard nor Harden are playing for $5 million a year.

Could be a younger Terry, without the leadership. But we could of had a similar player in DeAngelo Harrison.
