Since Delfino been back, Morris minutes have been on the decline. Didn't help that Morris hasn't been playing too well recently. The team needs him to regain his earlier form.
Had a few poor games. He's having a hard time getting involved in the offense. We are seeing how the cluttered big spot can cause some inconsistency in play from the bench guys Smith, Aldrich, Morris, Jones, etc. You are just a couple missed shots away from being knocked out of the rotation for an extended period of time. I doubt Morey ever thought they would actually bring in all of these guys after the trades they thought they were going to be involved in, and you have to take BPA in the draft. Despite who is getting PT, Im sure they are paying close attention to what they are seeing in practice, so they will know for sure who they should hold onto, and who they should look to move if a deal comes up.
I was the happiest guy for him but the truth of the matter is that he's had many more mediocre games than good ones.
Delfino is back and Morris had a few terrible games in a row. I don't even think he even scored a single point in the last few games he was playing...
If he looks lost, it's not really his fault. He's just scavenging for stuff to do (shoot, rebound, anything) on court and he seems to actually be good at a lot of these things. I actually wish they'd run some plays for him.
He's skilled up on offense. Really he is. He can hit the open shot any where on the court. He can post up, we've seen it. I don't understand why they don't run picks with him. He's the perfect player to do so. Run some plays for this guy please. He will only fill it up. Especially once you get his confidence up.
Aside from Harden (which is being generous to him), you can say that about EVERY player the Rockets have given minutes to this season. The coaches seem to have a shorter leash on some guys more then others.
