I don't know if I heard this right, but Rich or Charlie said that a Marbury & #1 pick for Francis, Cato, #9 had been talked about. I don't know how true this is,but I am strongly against it. ------------------ I'm Out! LATE!

...and it was ONLY a hypothetical trade, just for the sake of conversation. ------------------ We need some meat in the post!
If Marbury came here, I wouldn't root for the guy ever. He is the most selfish, most "me" player in the league. When things go bad, he turns on his coaches. He abandoned his team to play in the East Coast and now he rips the organization every chance he gets. Nobody in this area likes him. They put up with him. ------------------
thats your 500th post NIKE? talk about anti-climactic. You pigberry lover! This post had meaning once(I swear it!) ------------------ I have a special purpose. [This message has been edited by CriscoKidd (edited June 11, 2000).]
Marbury vs. Francis: Marbury - Was unhappy being the second fiddle to Garnett in Minnesota. Francis - Happily came to Houston despite knowing he would be the fourth fiddle (at the time). I like the idea of having a player accept other superstars around him unlike clowns like Stephon Marbury in the NBA or Ken Griffey Jr. in baseball. ------------------ Sky Pilot tip of the week: The Mandalay Bay Hotel Casino in Las Vegas rules!
What's with everybody bashing Marbury because he would not re-sign with Minnesota, thus forcing a trade to NJ when our hero Mr. Steve Francis did an extremely comparable thing by forcing a trade from Vancouver? That's just a bit hypocritical. I know everybody is going to try to rationalize why the Francis trade was more honorable than Marbury's, but seriously, if you're going to bash one player because of his forced trade, then you have to bash the other. ------------------
I'm not bashing Marbury for forcing a trade I'm bashing him for his reason. He left the Twolves because he wanted to be paid more then Garnett. In my mind Marbury is a greedy, self centered player while Stevie is a team oriented, leader. That is why I'd always take Stevie or Marbury. ------------------ I AM SPARTACUS
