Since the team mouthpiece said Smith left because of the glut of bigs (D-Mo, Jones, Capela), does that mean we plan on keeping them all and none would be traded for Lawson?

I mean, Les had no problem going after Barkley

We'd almost certainly have to part with one of them to make the $$ work, wouldn't we?

We have to make this trade. There's no more point guards available if someone else gets him.

"recently" isn't the same as "are still expressing an interest after his DUI".

Ty doesn't really excite me, but I guess this isn't a time for being picky.

Dude's an alcoholic. He is at high risk for his career being almost over.

Massive risk for the squad, if he can get help he'd be a great piece.

We really need assists, penetration, and someone that can score on their own other than Harden.

There really is NO ONE in the league available that is better than this than Ty Lawson! He has been 3rd in assists the past two years behind only CP3 and Wall.

You need to send out $8,202,997 in salary.

    Papanikolau, Prigioni and Jones works.

    Lawson / Beverley / Johnson
    Harden / Thornton /
    Ariza / Brewer / Dekker
    Motiejunas / (Hayes/Boozer) / Harrell
    Howard / Capela / Dorsey

I said it before....He's just a bad drunk driver. He needs an uber.

Seriously I'm not worried about him if he is in Houston.

I agree that he's likely the best/only available choice at this time, which is all I can ask of Morey.

I really have to ask if you have ever even seen the guy play...because he is pretty much exactly what this team needs. he is not just some average NBA player who can create, he is an ELITE play maker.

If the Rockets somehow luck into landing Ty Lawson, you are looking at a 62-64, win season with reasonably good health.

I definitely agree with that! Add in any other good piece, and we are right there considered for a favorite to win it all.

He was simply never at the top of my personal wishlist -- sorry not sorry. As I keep repeating, he is obviously the best option of those currently available.

I think Ty Lawson on the Rockets is much better than Ty Lawson on the Nuggets. Our style of play fits him perfectly, and hey...he's a point guard! Get it done, Morey.

The man averages 16 and 10. I don't know who KlutchQT would want. Pair Lawson with Harden and you have the second best backcourt in the NBA to complement a damn good frontcourt of Ariza/Motiejunas/Howard.
