I know this is random but who's with me? Baseball, football, Futbol and for some even hockey but I love B-ball. Was watching the Cavs vs. Fakers last night (great game BTW) and thinking about the Rox and how unexpectedly good the season has been. I just love the game and how electric it can be sometimes. that is all.
Pretty soon, it's my favorite time of the year. Only 3 more games and football goes away. Then there's a couple months' grace before baseball really gets started. Basketball is where it's at.
yeah, I've been to a UT game in Austin and a couple of Texans games. football lasts a little too long for me and when a team is losing big there's no drama what so ever because huge deficits in football are hard to overcome.
Football wins out for me because of the experience. Beer, tailgating, chicks, marching bands, fight songs. It's pretty much an all day event. I still like watching NBA basketball, but going to games is pricey, and the atmosphere is pretty tame.
As far as playing a team sport basketball is my favorite but college football is my favorite to watch.
I can see that in a lot of folks. Football is a weekly tradition, people get worked up for it. I'm personally more focused on gameplay when I watch sports. I don't really like crowds, and that's probably because I don't really like people. I'd really almost rather watch a game on TV, and basketball gameplay translates pretty well in an over-the-air presentation. /Deep Thoughts by Dallas Handey.
A real shocker! A basketball fan posting to basketball BBS about how they love the game. Count me in or I would not even be here.
you'd be surprised how many CF members aren't even Rocket or B-ball fans. Some just like to troll in the D&D. insert name here_______.(prob. basso or trader joe)
Not signed, 94 Bills, 95 Bills, 96 Bills, 97 Bills, 98 Bills, 99 Bills, 00 Bills, 'of rights', Bills; 01 Bills, 02 Bills, 03 Bills, 04 Bills, 05 Bills, 06 Bills, 07 Bills, 08 Bills, or 09 Bills. He said "are hard to overcome," not 'impossible'.
I've always felt that college football and college sports in general is an inferior product. Its like watching the WNBA when you can be watching the NBA.
I agree that the quality of play is inferior, but I can also understand why a lot of people find it easier to get behind their school's team than a pro team.
