If the data holds, it would be a major breakthrough and the first step towards fusion power - still a ways away. I think it would be nice for once for people to realize how important fusion is to solving so many energy problems - from being dependent on other countries to climate change. Renewables are never going to meet our energy needs, and despite what the right says, anthropological climate change is real and going to be far costlier than they are capable of admitting. Fusion power should be our modern day Moon shot.
