He's the worst point guard in the league on both ends of the floor. He has nothing to offer.

 

What a bad trade. That trade the Magic did a couple years ago for the Thunder big man was an awful deal. The Magic would have been a great team if they didn't do that deal. Now just when they were getting good again they do a similar thing. Why would you trade a top 10 pick for a second round pick? There is zero upside in this deal once again.

 

Magic really have it figured out. Tanking, getting low draft picks, and flipping them for peanuts for 2nd rounders. #TrusttheProcess

Exactly. Getting a high 2nd round pick for a disaster of a player you had no intention on re-signing this summer is a steal. Also, hair.

 

Bender has been improving, but he projects as a role player.

Chriss is basically Josh Smith 0.7 without the defense.

 

Thinking some more about this trade. Man, what a great trade for the Suns. Take a flyer on Payton for only a 2nd round pick. I know Payton is an RFA, but in this MARKET where is his payday? Sounds like the Suns could keep him for cheap. Or Payton can bet on himself and take the QO. Will be interesting to see what he does.

Would have been nice to see the Rockets trade for him. Would have given them some YOUTH in the pipeline and probably at a decent market cost considering his RFA status in this TIGHT market.
