Hmm I just finished the Warriors vs Pacers game and I did not see Klay, Durant or Curry on the bench Also the Warriors just lost so the magic number for home court in the conference finals is officially 1 now.
Another Warriors loss means we need them to lose just once more and the Raptors to lose 2 more for us to be given home court throughout the Playoffs.
Had we not lost to the raptors by 3 points. This would have been 28 games winning streaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could have wrapped up home court by tonight if we had won the Toronto game earlier this month. Now still need to 2 more wins.
It's probably for the best the Rockets lost that game. They'd have every team giving 150% effort to beat them if that streak was still going. Now they're on "only" a 10-game winning streak and opponents couldn't care less.
Exactly lol. Plus I mean why didn't the Rockets just have the longest win streak in the history of the NBA?? double lol
Plus, there would have been more pressure on Jim and CP to keep the streak going. You know CP would have hurt himself trying to continue to win. Now Rockets are resting players and winning at a leisurely pace.
this is a 27 games winning streak on USA ground btw clint cp3 and harden are still undefeated on USA ground when Boogie doesnt play
Hey, I would've loved to have seen a 35-game winning streak to close the season. But it would've meant not resting players down the stretch. The next homestand with the Wizards, Blazers, and Thunder won't be easy. But the #1 record in the league will likely be clinched by then, so the Rockets literally have nothing to play for(unless they want to impact the Western Conference playoff seedings which seems doubtful). So D'Antoni can give guys like Harden, CP3, Luc, EG, and Capela the occasional day off. There's no way in hell any of them would sit if they had a shot at surpassing that '72 Lakers 33-game winning streak.
It's pretty crazy how history was made when we had a second 14-game winning streak this season, which no team has ever done before. And here we are, with another (albeit, quiet) 10-game winning streak. And we have a chance to get 4 more, to add to history.
Personally, I'm glad we lost that game. It showed that we had what it took to make a major comeback but still weren't completely there when playing in a playoff atmosphere type game against a top 3 opponent. That game and the N.O. game were the Peli's lost Boogie, are the games that build character and show you what you need to improve on when building towards a championship push. Atm, we look damn near unstoppable. Even against opponents over .500
The "magic number" is 1 for HCA in WCF, because Rockets have played 75 games, GS has played 74 (hence why the lead in the standings over GS is 6.5 games). If somehow GS were to win out, they can only get to 62 Wins, not 63. Remember, we won the season series vs GS 2-1, so the tiebreaker is in our favor. But the Rockets will seal the deal no later than Friday night vs Phoenix. But if Bucks can beat GS, that wraps up #1 (in West standings) for Rockets before they take the court Friday night.
