Probably much less. Stat shows 90% of the palyers with similar attendance to Bynum in the first year will be injury prone through out the whole career.

It will be easy for the rockets to rebuild if Howard simply walks from Houston after the contract ends.

But, if Bynum signs a long contract and is injuried, Houston will be in the Yao situation again. Cap space will be tight. Upgrading the roster will put us in the mediocre, and tanking will give us a close shot for champ in the near future and will upset Bynum as well.

You lost me there. Would you post supportive documentation? And if you don't have supporting evidence would you just stop posting? It would do us all a favor.

Bynum might be an okay consolation prize if he agrees to a three year extension before the trade, or as part of the trade. That way, we do not have a face a free agency situation next summer, as well as having to offer a 5 year deal. With Bynum's work ethic and injury concerns, we'd be a lot better off being on the hook for only an additional three years. As far as trade value is concerned, an already extended Bynum may be roughly equivalent in value to a disgruntled Howard on the last year of a deal, even with leverage over him. In that instance, taking on one of Orlando's bad deals, such as Richardson, would be acceptable in a Bynum trade.

Well, prepare to be disappointed. Bynum's not an idiot (although he plays one on TV). Regardless of what we all think, Andrew Bynum's getting a max deal in 2013. He won't sign any extensions for anyone, not even LA. 5 years/110 (I think that's it) is quite a bit of stability. We might be better off, but it'll never happen.

Where ever Bynum finishes the season, that's where he'll be for the next 5 years....more money/years > everything.

What team would you want to move forward with?

    Bynum / Asik
    DMo / White
    Parsons /
    Lamb / Richardson
    Lin / Duhan

Rockets trade KMart, TJones, expirings plus Pat, Morris, Toronto Pick, Dallas pick
    For
    Bynum, Richardson

    Or

    Howard / Asik
    TJones / Davis / White
    Parsons / Turkoglu
    Richardson
    Lin

Rockets trade KMart, DMo, Lamb, expirings, Pat, Morris, Toronto Pick, Dallas Pick, Charlotte 2nd round pick, Houston 2nd round pick
    For
    D12, Richardson, Davis and Turkoglu?

Having that type of injury then putting pressure on your back every night doesnt help regardless of how many doctors he has. Dwight just LOOKS healthy because he hits weight room . Biggest misconception in history thinking someone is healthy based on body composition

No question Bynum gets a max deal. He is far superior (its not even close) to Brook Lopez who just got a max deal.

This. Imho, Bynum is the second best center in the NBA, no question.

IF Howard goes to LA & Bynum ends up a Rocket... You know Bynum WILL BE the starting center in the All-Star Game...

so, Bynum #1 and Howard #2...
Howard is a scared, lazy dude. Wants to stay in east because no centers and go to brooklyn because he'll automatically be the best center. Doesn't he know either way he'll always be compared to the all time greats. dont make no damn sense

I doubt it. Howard would still start. Everyone would vote for him because he is in Los Angeles, and everyone from the east would vote for him because they're used to him starting anyway.

Bynum would come off bench. If he isn't out with an injury... :(

Howard is a force of nature. 20/14 last year. While being one of the top 2 defensive players in the league. Take some SSRI's, it will help your view of life and the NBA. Howard at the end of his career will be mentioned in any discussion of the great centers in the history of the league. Nobody who plays like Howard can be called "scared and lazy". And he the best 5 in the game today. I do not see him being afraid of TD, Cousins, Bynum, Gasol etc. So will you please stop posting complete nonsense?

Highly doubt the Rockets give up their two best rookies, take back all those bad contracts, for a rental. Not happening.

If the magic are waiting for a better deal...

LA cant really offer much else than bynum.

the only other incentive is to take back bad contracts

they dont have that capability unless they trade gasol

gasol makes 20mil / yr so is really hard to trade

so any return for gasol would be really crappy

thus LA wouldnt trade for dwight if it meant bynum + gasol + sucky contracts

which brings me back to the point... hennigan is waiting for morey to increase his offer but daryl knows that he doesn't have to

Could be closer than you think. With Lin, the Asia vote could come into play again. Nothing like the voting for Yao, but with the game in Houston, who knows how many first-time votes Bynum could garner.

Hennigan most likely does not like Morey's offer, but it's the best one. The Magic are not going into camp with Dwight, and the Rockets have to start cutting unguaranteed guys at some point. This leads me to believe that Hennigan will most likely have to accept our offer, but has no reason to make the deal yet. Waiting a month doesn't hurt anything. They are probably hoping a new offer pops up at some point, but it's unlikely. Morey is just waiting them out.

Funny you mentioned Jeremy Lin. I'm on vacation in southeast Asia. The first thing 7/10 people ask me when they here that I'm from Houston is how I feel about getting Jeremy Lin.

Ooohhh! Tilt one deal in 'favor' and tilt the other deal as 'bad'. I see what you did there!

Rockets aren't giving up all their prospects in a Howard trade and aren't taking back every bad Orlando contract. If that was the case, what is Hennigan waiting on? Deal would have been done by now.
