In fact, it has been rumored to be the opposite.

Don't mind him. He has been adamant about keeping our draft picks.

I really really don't believe that. If Morey had the feeling that Howard would walk away from the 5th year and 7.5% raises there would be no trade discussion. And you can bet that Morey has had some long and serious discussions with Howard's agent. It is called due diligence.

Out here we have no clue as to what is going on. Morey will be dotting every i and crossing every t. He will make the best possible decision for the franchise.

Orlando has zero interest in whether or not Howard stays with the team they trade him to.

I didn't have to hear it. It's painfully obvious. If Dwight was going to be here.....he would be here. We do have the best offer, right???

yeah but I don't think--at this juncture--that Orlando's GM is making a decision based on what Dwight wants. He's looking for the best deal for the Magic and is trying to get Houston to up the offer. That's it. That's why we don't have a deal yet.

I really wish Morey would call their bluff by saying "__________(names/picks) this is the final offer from us that will be on the table for next 24 hours. After that WE WILL NO LONGER PERSUE A TRADE FOR HOWARD."

Guys, just answer this question. Does it make any sense that this has gone on as long as it has? Especially, after we have offered them the best deal out of all the trade rumors out. This should have been over a month or so ago. The fact that it's not, leads me to believe they are leading us on.
Plus, we have been through this a few times already.

Your logic is so off...it's laughable. You do realize that this is a part of negotiations, right?

What has happened to you? You used to be a quality poster. I think. Youre letting your emotions get the best of you.

How do we know he hasn't done that?

Rumored offer was Martin + 1 rook + Raptors Pick + 1 expiring. That's it. I call their bluff and raise them Morris.

If we don't have the best offer, then *** it, let Howard be wherever he wants be, or let Magic trade him to wherever they want to trade him.

    Does it matter?

    2 case to consider:
    1. Pau Gasol
    2. Carmelo Anthony
one good trade, one bad trade, one made a championship team, one crippled a franchise (AKA NYK, surprise surprise)

If this is true, Orlando simply want to up the offer from Houston. We know earlier in the week, they try other ways like dealing with Cleveland and LA which go no where. Those teams cannot absorb the huge contracts of their players like Houston can. If they choose to wait until the deadline, it still going no where....they might get Howard where he want to go which is the NETS but i doubt Orlando care where Howard landed. So if they trade w/ the Nets what do they get? Lopez?? What else...couple round picks?? And can they absorb those huge contracts?? Don't think so. So how is that deal better than Rockets.

Because Howard "HATE" the Orlando management so much, he is not doing them ANY FAVOR such as by telling teams who he doesn't mind playing for. Because if he says he want to play for the Rockets, then potentially Magic can get more out of Houston because of his commitment "verbally." So Magic is pretty much fkd

Dude, you have no clue. It's not up to Howard where and when he's going to be traded. If it were, he'd be with the nets already. Now, be a good little boy and go tell mommy to put you to bed. It's late already.

Right, because we can't make the trade we want to make until the Asik deal is formalized.

And even then both sides might want to take a bit more time to hammer out the details.

It isn't as easy as each GM going on ESPN trade checker and pressing "save trade"

    Dear Hennigan,
The market has already been set. The Rockets have the best deal on the table and you are trying to create a better market by creating rumors involving other teams in which that bluff has been called by the Cav's coach and Bynum's agent. Are you really this thirsty to where you are threatening to keep Dwight? Did you think about what happens if Mr. Howard decides that he is still recovering from surgery and cannot play further limiting your leverage in any negotiations? In reality, these bluffs to try and inflate your leverage in trade talks will actually hurt you more than it does the Rockets. We have assets and draft picks that won't leave us after this season no matter what while on the other hand Dwight is going to leave you no matter what after this season. You're really going to give the Rockets a chance to see if either one of Lamb, Jones, White, Motiejunas develop into superstar quality talent? If any of those players do show superstar quality talent do you really think Morey will trade that player(s) to you for maybe what is now a half-season rental? Time is on our side not yours.

its more dwights Agent since he is a well known hater of moreys business style. Morey is on the agent blacklist which contributes to us not getting any star players.
