The Magic, Warriors and Hornets are in discussions on a three-team trade, two league sources confirmed. Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins and Dorell Wright would be sent by the Warriors to the Magic. Ryan Anderson, J.J. Redick, Hedo Turkoglu and Quentin Richardson would be outgoing pieces from Orlando. The Hornets' exact involvement is unclear, but believed to be centered around Chris Kaman. No trade is imminent but talks are ongoing say sources.
Very good deal for Orlando, as they get the best player in the deal (Ellis) and probably get to keep Dwight in the process since he's always wanted to play with Ellis Moe
Um.....er....um, er... Why would the Hornets, in their attempts to sell the team and thus remove David Stern's ability to leave the Rockets or any future team a smoking shambles, take on some of those craptacular contracts? Don't they need to shed salary? Maybe Okafur and that 1st rounder are in play for the Warriors?
I can't grasp Monta's real value but I assume the warriors get the center they always wanted in Kaman and get Ryan Anderson as well. I just hope the Howard situation is settled in time so other negotiations aren't kept on hold until too late.
Thats absolutely terrible for the warriors. They would haft to be getting the hornets pick to make it do-able. I'd understand if it was monta for JJ, Ryan and the wolfs pick, but for them to take on hedo and Q-rich for monta AND wright is just insanity.
Don't at all understand this from the Warrior's perspective. Giving up the best player in the deal and taking on the worst contract... why? Doubt it has any legs.
Well Rockets Aint Getting In On The Trades. Time For Next Trade Deadline 2013, If The World Dont End In 2012
Y'all are trippin. Warriors get rid of Biedrins' contract and will most likely get Kaman and that pick from N.O.
You know how many teams are in talks but nothing has been said? Ask Jazz fans if they thought they were in trade talks before that D-Will trade happened...
The Hornets have to take on salary for this deal to go down, don't they? That's what doesn't make sense.
It's interesting how the approach Rockets fans have towards other teams' transactions differently from our own. The Warriors are in a similar spot to Houston, as in never having the chance to get a top 3 pick nor anywhere near contending. Lowry/KMart mirrors Curry/Ellis in terms of being pretty good but not incredible. Similar with Scola and Lee. So while many fans in GARM continously advocate blowing things up trading Martin and Scola, this trade essentially does the same thing for the Warriors. They get out of Biedrins' horrendous contract(taking on a lesser crappy contract instead) while getting two young players with potential. On the flip side, what do they have to lose? 2-3 spots in the standings but gain some extra lottery balls for the upcoming draft? Ellis is a very good player, but he'll never reach Durant's level and will never lead the Warriors to jack squat. The trade makes sense for the Warriors if they want to start over.
