While I don't know if anything is on the "verge" bur you would he to think they have been working pretty intensely thru the night seeing as how this story broke at like 6:30 their time.
Carl it is not is misleading As it was said by Mike&Mike If I remember they said on the verge of trade. Potentially, maybe.
What's crazy is that since the Nets are filling their cap through trades and resigning their own free agents, they will still have all their extra salary exceptions. Would this be correct Bima?
If the Magic help Dwight out...then every player is going to start demanding they go to one team. These players are becoming pu$$ies.
ATL has the best trade package in my opinion. Horford is a Gator as well, so that would bode well for their local interest.
Everything is relative. $45 million in luxury taxes might be chump change to a guy 5 times richer than Cuban with the ego of an oligarch; plus who knows how big a cable deal D12 might bring in New York. I don't get it from Olrando's side though with new huge contracts for marginal players. They may still just be bidding Morey up.
That's very true. A lot of moving parts here. Two guys have to agree to be S&T'd. I think rather than flushing out the Rockets, Brooklyn is trying to flush out everyone, the Lakers, possibly the Warriors, everyone. Dwight and Hedo make $19 mil and $11.4 mil. That's a lot of jack you gotta give to Brooks and Kris. And most likely you're gonna have to give Lopez 5 years instead of 4 years to get him to agree to go there. If Indy lets Hibbert go, they could make a substantial offer for Lopez. If they agree to match on Hibbert, Portland is likely to jump up for Lopez. Phoenix is sitting there with mega cap space and Lopez' brother. Not to mention Boston and Milwaukee. Humphries is not likely to take a one-year guaranteed deal either and play on essentially an expiring contract for a second year in a row. He's going to want 3-4 years guaranteed and he should get it on the open market. No way he signs a 3-year contract with only a one-year guarantee unless the Magic agree to buy him out immediately and I don't know if that is legal under the new CBA. Then if all that happens, Orlando has a guy that is essentially overpaid (they are going to have to offer Lopez a contract that is over the market) and is coming off injury. That contract could turn into another Hedo boat anchor. I just have this feeling that Orlando is starting with Brooklyn, the most unlikely destination. I would be surprised if they agreed to a deal right here. I think Orlando is going to move on to other teams and investigate what each team's max offer is. And then they are going to finalize a deal with the team that puts the most on the table.
