I don't see how this means the end of Durant's time. Ibaka was expendable. His shooting/scoring can be replaced by Kanter and his defense, while great, is what Adams can provide.
Does Durant feel that way though? After all they thought Harden was expendable and I doubt Durant agreed with that.
If the Magic think they're getting some kind of all star in Ibaka they're really delusional, not a good deal imo. But what about the Thunder? Ily at the 4? Meh...
Good deal for the Thunder. They're going to struggle defensively without a rim protector - but Adams was taking over in that role anyway. I wonder if they anticipate Durant walking, Roberson starts at the 3 and Oladipo at the 2.
they gotta do something differently always coming up short in WC and before the Finals is not the answer They were so much closer to the title than the Rox in those years but Lebron and Curry led team destroyed it for them.
Woj: In last week, they made a decision to explore the market and see what they could get. He'll be a FA next summer. They have money they need to commit to going forward. Ibaka wants to more of a center piece. With Durant & Westbrook, he'd be a distant 3rd. OKC also talked to Toronto. Orlando made the strongest bid. (Impact on Durant) I don't have the answer to that but Presti will be calculated. For OKC, they wanted Ibaka to be that dominant defensive player/rebounder/shot-blocker. This was a decision by Presti made in the last day. Ibaka did not ask for a trade.
Depending on what Oladipo can become If he is a poor man's Harden or slightly worse Harden they are going to be successful
