WOW! that is fing rediculous. whoever the refs were in that game should be fined fo missing the most blatent travel call in the history of the league.
Awesome Youtube video. I can only blame the players but so much, when the league allows (intentionally) its entire corps of refs to overlook basic traveling violations. That, along with all the other ludicrous non-basketball calls/and no calls (ex. automatic foul call for a player on the wrong end of a charge if he's within the semi-circle) and it's no wonder we've been getting our rears handed to us in International play. Guys don't get that properly called games don't give you automatic trips to the line if a defender challenges your wreckloose leaps into the lane. Evan
Man I noticed most of those travel calls even before it was slowed down....so that makes it more shocking that the refs didn't catch it.
I hate the chrage rule too. I also detest that no one ever calls the two-hands to the back post up defense. It's blatantly illegal and the easiest thing in the world to see.
they can just go look at the videos i guess i cant say always, but yao usually has one pivotal foot settled.
geez, that's just bad... Yao does travel more than he gets called for, never THAT blatently though. why have rules if they're not followed?
This is one reason why I hate the NBA. Could the officials be any worse? It it was Wafer, they would have blown their whistle with the first pivot foot switch. I hate the star treatment.
Its funny how travels+fouls are officiated in the NBA as opposed to how travels+fouls are called in the college game. In college the fouls are hard to come by and the travels come quick. In the NBA you have the opposite. You'd think it would be vice versa.
